The software can take into account many aspects of solar systems such as detailed diffuse/beam correlation models, temperature effects, and shadowing effects. The system allows you to build a user-based archive of components, like solar panels and inverters. Many printing and exporting functions are available, as well as ready-to-use PDF report export.

Spike Asset Manager (SAM) is a cross-platform framework for probing a system for components and reporting them. It includes a driver file that probes for components commonly found in a LAMPJ stack (Apache, MySQL, PHP, Tomcat, etc). It can find multiple versions that are installed, query the RPM database, and indicate whether components are running.
Spike PHPCoverage is a tool for measuring and reporting code coverage provided by the test suite of a PHP application. It can instrument and record the line coverage information for any PHP script at runtime. It also provides an extensible reporting mechanism with a standard HTML report implemented out of the box. The default report displays the summary information about the code coverage for an application and also shows the detailed information about a file including which lines were actually executed and with what frequency. It is possible to specify the directories and files that should be included and/or excluded from a coverage measurement.
Symbiose is a WebOS, a Web desktop which is accessible from any Web browser. It works like Linux, using the same filetree, UI management, software update system, and commands (ls, cd, etc.). It offers file management (sending/downloading, basic operations, copy-and-paste, drag-and-drop, etc.), a text editor with syntax highlighting and automatic indentation, a music and video player, a word processor, an archive manager, management of system parameters (such as appearance, users, quotas, interfaces, and software sources), a software center, an updates manager similar to apt-get, FTP server, DropBox, and Google Drive mounting (with integration of these services in Symbiose storage), and more.
There are many instances when one needs to process certain objects on seperate threads. But spawning a seperate thread per object may cause the system to crash. The Thread Pooling Framework can be used to process the the objects on a predefined number of threads. If all threads are busy, the objects are kept in the pool. Whenever a thread ends, an objects is taken from the pool and processed on a new thread. This continues until the pool is empty.
