OpenCD Redux is fork of the OpenDisc project that aims to provide a large set of quality open source applications for Windows users. It is actually a build tree designed to make it easy to create your own branded versions of the CD, for give-aways to schools, businesses, or other local community groups. It also aims to always fit on a CD, given their ubiquity with all computer users.
OpenChrom provides mass spectrometric analysis of chromatographic data, in a way similar to ChemStation from Agilent Technologies. It handles data files from different LC/MS, GC/MS systems and vendors, such as (*.D) chromatograms from Agilent Technologies, Finnigan ITS40 (*.ms), NetCDF (*.cdf), MzXML (*.mzxml), and other formats. It is flexible and can be extended by plugins.
P6Spy is an open source framework for applications to intercept and optionally modify database statements. The P6Spy distribution includes P6Log, which intercepts and logs the database statements of any application that uses JDBC. This application is particularly useful for developers to monitor the SQL statements produced by EJB servers, enabling the developer to write code that achieves maximum efficiency on the server. P6Spy is designed to be installed in minutes and requires no code changes.
PHP Script Register, Login Users registers and logs users into a website, and shows the online users. It has options to log in with Facebook or with a Google account. It includes a "Remember" button which gives the ability to automatically log in the user on the next visit. If the user forgets the password, the script can send it by email. Each user has a personal page which contains an image uploaded by the user, the registration date, the last visit date, the number of visits/logins, and other personal data (name, pronoun, birthday, personal website, occupation, and hobby). On the personal page, the user can modify the password and the email address added to registration, then he/she will receive an email message with the new data. The script displays the total number of users, the last registered user, and the online users.
"PHP Web Security Monitor" is designed to protect Internet sites created with PHP from malicious queries from hackers and Web viruses. It filters common PHP variables via prepared security patterns and compares (unprotected) input variables against patterns of dangerous data, such as SQL injection, XSS injection, and PHP code compromising.
Paragent is a Web-based tool for IT administrators that provides a unified service for hardware and software inventory, alerting, remote desktop, and help desk functions. It delivers these tools in an easy-to-use interface, with one-click access and site-wide built-in advanced search capabilities. It is a combination of applications, including Lisp-based servers collecting data, C++ agents on the client machines, and Java tools for the remote desktop component. Paragent runs on Linux servers and supports Windows clients.
Plan 9 From User Space is a port of the bulk of the Plan 9 software build environment to Unix. While the libraries make an attempt to play nice with the rest of the system (by using the Unix rules for printf verbs and Unix system headers, for example), this port tries to reproduce the Plan 9 build environment as faithfully as possible, providing u.h and libc.h, and blithely redefining tokens such as open, dup, and accept in order to provide implementations that better mimic the Plan 9 semantics. The result is a more complicated and less Unix-friendly environment, but Plan 9 programs can typically be compiled with little or no changes.
Platform Independent Petri Net Editor (PIPE) creates and analyses Petri Nets quickly, efficiently, and effectively. A key design feature is the modular approach adopted for analysis, enabling new modules to be written easily and powerfully, using built-in data layer methods for standard calculations. Six analysis modules are provided, including Invariant Analysis, State-Space Analysis (deadlock, etc.), and Simulation Analysis and Classification. PIPE adheres to the XML Petri net standard (PNML). The file format for saving and loading Petri Nets is extensible through the use of XSLT, the default being PNML.
