The Extended Edition also includes a PDF reader for importing and editing, along with FDF support, verification for digital signatures and text extraction. Both variations offer full Unicode support, encryption, embedded TrueType and Type1 fonts, barcodes, hyperlinks, and spot and calibrated color.
CUPS-PDF is a PDF writer backend for CUPS. It is designed to produce PDF files in a heterogeneous network by providing a PDF printer on the central fileserver. It will convert files printed to its queue in CUPS to PDF and put them in a per-user-based directory structure. It can execute post-processing scripts, e.g. to allow mailing the results to the user.
In order to leave Windows behind most people need a fully-functional money management program. CheckBook Tracker seeks to solve that problem. It has the feel and features of packages like Microsoft Money without requiring the user to build their own sources or find an RPM for their distribution. Its features include Import / Export QIF files straight from Money or Quicken, autocomplete, check printing, split transactions, balance forecasts, online banking, and more.
The DigiMemo A501 can be used for the digitalisation of normal writings. Everything you write with standard leads on standard paper will be digitally collected, stored, and later transfered to your computer. As the transfer format, an internal file format called INK file is used. This format can be converted by this tool to Postscript or PDF files. This way, you can use your DigiMemo A501 on Linux, BSD, Unix, or Mac OS X.
ES Class provides an easy to use interface to pdflib for creating Swiss deposit slips (German: Einzahlungsscheine). It was created for a debtor management tool and is now under the GPL. It uses dimension config files for each deposit slip, which makes it very simple to create a new one. At this time, there is only one deposit slip implemented (609), but there will be more soon (105, 110, and 303), and perhaps other deposit slips from other countries.
