GPP is a general-purpose preprocessor with customizable syntax, suitable for a wide range of preprocessing tasks. Its independence from any programming language makes it much more versatile than cpp, while its syntax is lighter and more flexible than that of m4. The syntax is fully customizable, which makes it possible to process text files, HTML, or source code equally efficiently in a variety of languages.
Gorm (Graphic Object Relationship Modeller) is a GNUstep application for building user interfaces and application objects relationships. Its major features include drag-and-drop creation of GUI elements from palettes, run-time loading of additional palettes, direct on-screen manipulation of GUI elements, manipulation and examination of objects via inspectors, and creation of connections between objects using mouse. It is a clone of the former NeXTstep (currently OS X) "Interface Builder" application.
SLOCCount is a suite of programs for counting physical source lines of code (SLOC) in possibly large software systems. It can count physical SLOC for a wide number of languages. It can take a large set of files and automatically categorize their types using a number of different heuristics, and also comes with analysis tools.
The Noble Ape Simulation is a collection of a number of autonomous simulation components including a landscape simulation, biological simulation, weather simulation, sentient creature (Noble Ape) simulation, and a simple intelligent-agent scripting language (ApeScript). Noble Ape also contains a social simulation where the Noble Apes can be tracked in terms of social groups and also over many generations to explain social phenomenon to users looking to study this kind of interaction. It has been in development for more than a fifteen years.
The SOPE package is an extensive set of frameworks (16 frameworks, ~1500 classes) which form a complete Web application server environment. Besides the Apple WebObjects compatible appserver extended with Zope concepts, it contains a large set of reusable classes: XML processing (SAX, DOM, XML-RPC), MIME/IMAP4 processing, LDAP connectivity, RDBMS connectivity, and iCalendar parsing. The parts of the package can be used stand-alone (e.g. in Cocoa applications) and do not require the appserver parts. For MacOSX developers, the package includes SOPE:X, which contains special Xcode and Cocoa support for SOPE.
Address Book Server allows you to share your contacts and calendar events with others connected to your network or over the Internet. Each participant synchronizes their contacts with the server hosted on your own system. Address Book Server supports the full Address Book and iCal schema. The server also provides a friendly Web interface and an iPhone client which let you access your contact details remotely.
Fugu SSH is a Mac OS X graphical frontend to OpenSSH's Secure File Transfer application (SFTP). SFTP is similar to FTP, but, unlike FTP, the entire session is encrypted, meaning no passwords are sent in cleartext form, and it is thus much less vulnerable to third-party interception. Fugu allows you to take advantage of SFTP's security without having to sacrifice the ease of use found in a GUI. Fugu also includes support for SCP files transfers, and the ability to create secure tunnels through SSH.
