Eddie is a liberal RSS and Atom feed parsing library for Java. It is a SAX-based parser, and as a result is capable of parsing a significant number of broken feeds. It was written after discovering that the well-known ROME feed parser is implemented using DOM, and therefore incapable of dealing with ill-formed XML

Imieniny reads a list of names and the dates on which those saints are commemorated in Poland. The "name-day", i.e. the day on which a saint bearing a person's name is commemorated, is important in Poland, and is celebrated like a birthday. The program, given a date, will display what people have their "name-days" on that day. It can also send an email alert. Given a name, it will display when that name has its name-day(s). Since people in Poland like to send little "mini-poems", a selection of these is included. Users can also determine their own combination of names and dates and names-surnames and dates.
FlightFeather's goal is "social networking for everyone". This means that anyone should have a chance to run a popular social networking site on minimal hardware, and without wasting bandwidth. Whenever the system's state changes, it generates static HTML pages. Pure read operations (usually about 90% of the total) do not require the application to run at all. Since conserving computing resources translates directly into conservation of physical resources (e.g. electricity use of large server farms), such "green software" can also benefit the environment. FlightFeather is already a functional system, and runs the "bosstats.com" site.
