Blosxom.PHP is a port of Blosxom to PHP, a lightweight but feature-rich weblog application. It is designed for simplicity, usability, and interoperability in mind. Users can create, edit, delete, and move blog entries, categories, and parameters on the command line, via FTP, or with WebDAV.
Pivot is a tool to create weblogs (and to some extent other dynamic Web sites). Pivot is easy to setup, easier to maintain, and even easier to work with. It is template based and fully adaptable to your wishes. Language packs are supported. It is easy to upload and include pictures with your log entries. There is a comment system that remembers your visitors. Automagic archiving can be done by week or month. Stylesheets are used extensively. All data is stored in flat files, so no databases are required.
b2evolution, is a multi-lingual, multi-user, multi-blog engine. It was developed to provide a free, feature rich, extensible, and easy-to-install solution for efficient Web publishing of information ranging from professional news feeds to personal weblogs. b2evo can easily be installed on almost any LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) host in a matter of minutes.
The Informa RSS Library provides a convenient Java API for handling news channels and metadata about them. Different syntax formats (like RSS 0.91, 1.0 [RDF], 2.0, and Atom 0.3) for feeds are supported. There is also basic support for channel information descriptions (OPML). A full-text engine (Lucene) can be used for indexing and searching the news items. Two backends for storing the data are currently provided: In-Memory and Hibernate (which allows you to persist news items into allmost any JDBC compliant database).
