The KiWi core system is a flexible platform for building different kinds of semantic social software applications on top (currently the Semantic Wiki and the TagIT application). It provides all the core services required in such applications, like editing and tagging, the storage of content and associated meta-data, its own triple store, transactions and versioning over content and meta-data, a linked open data server, and many small features semantic social software developers will like (like convenience services for working with ontologies or SKOS thesauruses, etc.).
SCT (Sphene Community Tools) is a collection of Django applications that are designed to be easily pluggable into any Django project. It currently consists of a Wiki and a Board application. It contains an example project that allows users to create a community Web site containing the Wiki and Board applications without any further coding/configuration changes.
NoteFinder is an application for managing any text information: notes, quotes, conversations, drafts, articles, contacts, etc. It features creating, viewing, editing, renaming, deleting entries, rich text formatting, inline calculations (e.g., use ~7+8~ to get 15, or functions and constants from Python's math module, such as sqrt, sin, and pi), organizing entries chronologically (creation dates) and semantically (tags), advanced search (with date:, tag:, title:, year:, month:, and day: parameters), saving searches, multiple notebooks, multiple backends, the ability to move/copy entries from one notebook to another, synchronizing via email/Wiki, linking entries together, CamelCase links support, and a tabbed interface.
Blosxom (pronounced "Blossom") is a lightweight yet feature-packed Weblog application designed from the ground up with simplicity, usability, and interoperability in mind. Fundamental is its reliance upon the file system, folders, and files as its content database. Users can create, edit, rename, and delete entries on the command-line, via FTP, WebDAV, or anything else they might use to manipulate their files.
Just Journal is a blogging application. You can use it to create one or more blogs on a Web site. Just Journal allows registered users to comment on other blogs, list friends, consume and provide RSS feeds, and post public, friends only, or private journal entries. It has been tested using MySQL 5.x and Tomcat 5.5.
PottyMouth transforms completely unstructured and untrusted text to valid, nice-looking, completely safe XHTML. PottyMouth is designed to handle input text from non-technical, potentially careless, or malicious users. It produces HTML that is completely safe, programmatically and visually, to include on any Web page. You don't need to make your users read any instructions before they start typing. They don't even need to know that PottyMouth is being used.
minb (Minb Is Not a Blog) is a content management system that makes it possible to share Moments with others or just log them for your own use. The data is stored in XML-format and does not require a database. Its design is extremely modular and it supports read-only accounts for sensitive data. The engine is equally fit to be used as a blog, a personal homepage framework, or a publicly accessible information site concentrating on news or project coordination.
