It incorporates its own Web server and stores all the information in a database; it's very easy to install and use, and powerful enough for most users. It can be completely controlled with the keyboard. It has an adapted Web interface for mobile devices.
StatusNet is a microblogging platform. A StatusNet site is a lightweight social network that helps a community, company, or group to exchange short messages, files, and data over the Web. Users can choose which people to "follow" and receive only their friends' or colleagues' status messages. It provides a service that is similar to Twitter, Yammer, SocialCast, or Salesforce.com Chatter.
CMME (Content Management Made Easy) is a Web content management system that aims to be easy to use, doesn't have many requirements, and is still reasonably flexible. It doesn't need a database, doesn't have extensive administrative needs, and works more or less like a wiki. New pages can be made on the fly, rather than through an administrative page.
