The KiWi core system is a flexible platform for building different kinds of semantic social software applications on top (currently the Semantic Wiki and the TagIT application). It provides all the core services required in such applications, like editing and tagging, the storage of content and associated meta-data, its own triple store, transactions and versioning over content and meta-data, a linked open data server, and many small features semantic social software developers will like (like convenience services for working with ontologies or SKOS thesauruses, etc.).
VStarBlogEngine is a lightweight multi-user/single-blog engine intended for bloggers who need a simple, fast, and reliable blogging platform. It is built as an alternative to existing heavily-armored blog engines, such as Wordpress, Drupal, and others. It features fast and secure blogging, quick threaded commenting with CAPTCHA, multi-language support with UTF-8 database encoding, subscription to comments, tags support, spam filtering, RSS support, LiveJournal cross-posting, and Wordpress database import. It does not feature self-registration, OpenID, a visual editor, plugins, widgets, etc.
OpenInviter is a script to import contacts (address book data) from email providers like Yandex, Lycos, Rambler.ru, Live / Hotmail, OperaMail, GMX.net, Mail.ru, Mail.com, GMail, Yahoo!, Rediff, AOL, and KataMail. It can import from content management systems like SimpleMachines Forum (SMF), Drupal, Social Engine, Wordpress, PunBB, Joomla, JamRoom, and PhpBB. It also imports from social portals like Twitter, Facebook, Hi5, Friendster, Orkut, Myspace, and LinkedIn. It offers basic "tell a friend" features.
Pftf (Pining for the Fjords) is another take at time keeping and work time accounting. It lets you keep track of how much time you spent working on what, figure out how much work you are or were supposed to do, taking into account holidays, vacation, sick time, etc., and build graphs showing the acquired data.
folder2blog is a minimalist blog engine based on plain text. You maintain a folder of text files, one for each article, and folder2blog dynamically maps it to blog-ish HTML/RSS2 output. Comments are appended to each text file. Managing articles/comments now becomes creating or editing text files. For example, all you do is edit a local folder of plain text files and sync it with the server, manually or using tools such as rsync, over SSH or FTP. The encoding may be anything (UTF-8 by default). The HTML formatter is any external program, such as markdown, that may act as a pipe. The owner receives notification email for each comment. There is basic spam protection.
