ASpiReNN is a little C library (with Python bindings) which provides support for simple (leaky integrate-and-fire) spiking neural networks. It is primarily designed for highly recurrent networks, but it can also be used with multi-layer nets, though performance won't be the same. Though only Leaky integrate-and-fire (for the neurons) and Spike-Timing Dependent Plasticity (for learning rules) are currently implemented, adding new models shouldn't be too difficult.
Analyze ECGs is a graphical data analysis tool for use on analog input DAQ data, such as that of RTLab. It is useful for opening the '.nds' file format produced by RTLab's data acquisition program, DAQSystem (it can also open regular ASCII files). Aside from being a general-purpose multichannel analog data editing tool, it also contains custom features useful for analyzing cardiac data. However, it can be used for editing/viewing general-purpose data as well. Additionally, this program can convert '.nds' files to ASCII format data.
BinarySEC is an intelligent Web application firewall designed to suppress malicious traffic on Web sites and applications. Its artificial intelligence engine learns normal traffic and blocks malicious requests with very high accuracy. BinarySEC secures against a wide range of attacks, including cross-site scripting (XSS), SQL injection, command injection, PHP includes, parameter tampering, buffer overflow, directory traversal, attack obfuscation, and more. BinarySEC for Apache includes a graphical installer and a Web-based administration interface.
Brook for GPUs is a compiler and runtime implementation of the Brook stream programming language for modern graphics hardware. The goals for this project are to demonstrate general purpose programing on GPUs, to provide a useful tool for developers who want to run applications on GPUs, and to research the stream language programming model, streaming applications, and system implementations.
CHDecide (formerly known as iDecide) will ask you to estimate how likely you are to succeed with an option, how much it's worth for you and how much it hurts if you fail. It will then compute which option is expected to give the most happiness. The program uses the expected-utility theory to make predictions of which option you should choose. You might think that you don't need a program to make your choices, but research has shown that humans are surprisingly bad at picking the most logical choices.
Cell Electrophysiology Simulation Environment is a framework to perform electrophysiological simulations. It can, for example, simulate cardiac myocyte electrical activity. It is useful for simulations of action potentials, individual ionic currents, and changes in ionic concentrations.
ChangeBlindness is a small game that demonstrates the change blindness phenomenon. The effect shows that our brains have a low-level (i.e. subconscious) change detection capability that can be disabled pretty easily (for instance, with a flicker of around 100ms). The game illustrates this using an increasing number of icons, one of which will change during a flicker. The goal of the game is to find the changing icon as quickly as possible.
