PICI-NMS is an object oriented middleware which makes possible sending messages in a networked environment or on a single host between applications using the library provided. The supported message sending mechanism is "publish/subscribe" and this is backed up by a very easy-to-use and intuitive C++ API which hides the underlying socket interface to make the message sending as transparent to the client as possible.
sc-tool is a commandline tool intended to simplify administration of traffic shapers for Internet Service Providers. It features fast loading of large rulesets using batch modes of tc and ipset, loading of information from any SQL database supported by Perl DBI, a batch command execution mode, and synchronization of rules with databases.
Fallback-gw is a little script to be called via cron that checks availibility of neighbor routers using ping and activates backup routing on ping failure. It can be used as a stupid replacement for BGP/OSPF in a multihomed environment. It has been tested on FreeBSD and on Linux with iproute2.
Trafficmeter is a traffic collecting and logging system. It collects and groups packets by time, source IP, destination IP, protocol, source port, and destination port. You can get a detailed log of traffic for every IP without any daemon configuration work. It also gives statistics of IP incoming and outgoing traffic for a time period.
Netomata Config Generator (NCG) creates complete, ready-to-install configuration files for network devices and services from a common lightweight model of a network. Because these configuration files are generated programmatically and generated from a shared model, they are more likely to be consistent and complete, making a network more reliable, easier to troubleshoot, and easier to expand in both size and functionality. The inputs to NCG are a model describing the network and templates for the configuration files of the various devices (routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, etc.) and services (SNMP, DNS, DHCP, etc.). From these inputs, NCG produces complete, consistent, ready-to-install configuration files for those devices and services.
JRedis is a high-performance Java client and connector framework and reference implementation for Redis distributed hash key-value database. It will provide both synchronous clients and asynchronous connections for Redis. The connectors will be both passive (non-threaded) and active, to address deployment scenarios and usage requirements.
skd is a small daemon which binds to a UDP, TCP, or Unix-domain socket, waits for connections and runs a specified program to handle them. It is ideal as a secure, efficient replacement for traditional inetd. It is also an easy-to-use tool for non-privileged users wanting to run their own network services. Datagram and stream sockets are available in both the Internet and Unix namespaces, each with the expected inetd behavior. In the Internet domain, IPv6 is supported in addition to IPv4. skd also supports connection limits, verbose logging of connections, dropping of privileges, forking into the background with a pidfile, and redirecting stderr to syslog or a file. Some of these facilities (such as forking into the background, privilege dropping, and logging) are also useful for standalone, non-network services and can be used without binding any socket.
