conexus is a generalized C++ I/O library that includes network support for IPv4 and IPv6 sockets, serial/TTY communications, kernel message queues, pipes, and files. Objects use sigc++ for signaling property changes and other information. Sub-libraries include conexus-gtkmm (provides a set of gtkmm widgets), conexus-dbus (provides dbus support for endpoints), conexus-nspr (provides NSPR endpoints), conexus-nss (provides NSS endpoints), and conexus-ssl (provides OpenSSL endpoints).

The Realeyes IDS captures and analyzes full sessions. When an incident is reported, the graphical user interface will display both halves of the session to determine what occurred. By using the nmblookup facility from Samba, and configuring hosts to use the WINS service, IP-ID lets you resolve named hosts within your local network. As an added feature, IP-ID can discover and add a hostname for an Xbox running XBMC, allowing simple and repeatable FTP transactions with the Xbox. By drawing on the functionality provided by the MiniUPnP project program, IP-ID can also configure UPnP port forwarding to machines to allow SSH access from the wider world.

W-Meter is a tool for testing the conformance and evaluating the performance of 802.11 products. The tool is meant for injecting arbitrary frames to test the conformance of any wifi product. The tool has templates for generating various kinds of frames which can be customized for generation of specific frames. The tool can be used to elicit responses from other wifi cards to check the conformance of the card to the protocol. At present, 802.11g frames are completed.
