Arkeia Network Backup is designed for organizations that require fast, easy-to-use, and affordable data protection. It backs up critical data to disk, tape, and cloud storage. Arkeia protects all major virtual platforms including VMware, Hyper-V, XenServer, and more than 200 physical platforms including Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Netware, most UNIX flavors, and BSDs. The company’s source-side Progressive Deduplication technology helps users realize better performance at a lower cost by reducing data volumes. Arkeia’s deduplication is crucial to accelerating replication of on-premise backups to private or public clouds.
Zentyal (formerly eBox Platform) is a small business server that offers small and medium businesses an affordable and easy-to-use enterprise-level computer network. It can act as a Gateway, Infrastructure Manager, Unified Threat Manager, Office Server, Unified Communication Server, or a combination of these.
Traffic Squeezer is a Linux kernel based WAN network traffic accelerator from Doublefish Solutions. It uses methods such as traffic compression, traffic PDU coalescing, protocol specific acceleration (such as TCP acceleration mechanisms), and quality of service. Traffic Squeezer also contains custom L7filters (application protocol filters), DPI (Deep Packet Engines) and so on to control and administrate your traffic. With Traffic Squeezer, you can optimize MPLS,ISDN, leased links, Satellite Networks, and Marine Internet, and even build your own custom WAN Appliance with Traffic Squeezer. A GUI is now supported via Doublefish Solution Aquarium. Aquarium is a Web-GUI that also supports Traffic Squeezer, Squid, and other open source solutions.
Fyrewall is a full featured firewall system based on FreeBSD. It comes with an easy installation interface. Fyrewall includes features such as full control via a Web interface, an aliasing system for easing management of firewall rules, failover clustering support via CARP, load balancing, integrated VPN support for many popular protocols, traffic and system statistics reporting, and the packaging system.
The Realeyes IDS captures and analyzes full sessions. When an incident is reported, the graphical user interface will display both halves of the session to determine what occurred. The GUI also provides management of application users, sensors, and a database. Realeyes is a replacement for the RenaissanceCore software.
Gnetworktester is an application that helps users in testing the quality of a network connection and in sending complaints on that to the network provider. A procedure of testing takes three steps: choosing the network nodes; automatic pinging of those nodes to collect statistics on packet losses, delays, and overall quality; and automatic report writing.
Wiremaps is an application that gathers layer 2 wiring information on a network using protocols like LLDP, EDP, CDP, and SONMP. It also gathers information from the FDB (MAC-port table on switches), the ARP table (MAC-IP table), and some miscellaneous information like interface names.
lldpd is an implementation of IEEE 802.1ab that provides LLDP sending and reception, It supports VLANs and includes an SNMP subagent that can interface to an SNMP agent through the AgentX protocol. LLDP is an industry standard protocol designed to supplant proprietary Link-Layer protocols such as Extreme's EDP (Extreme Discovery Protocol) and CDP (Cisco Discovery Protocol). The goal of LLDP is to provide an inter-vendor compatible mechanism to deliver Link-Layer notifications to adjacent network devices. The daemon is also able to deal with CDP, FDP, SONMP, and EDP protocols. It also handles the LLDP-MED extension.
