TurnKey File Server Appliance is an easy to use file server that combines Windows-compatible network file sharing with an advanced Web-based file manager. It includes support for SMB, SFTP, and rsync. The server is configured to allow server users to manage files in private or public storage. It is based on Samba and eXtplorer. Security patches are automatically installed. To minimize footprint the appliance is built from the ground up with the minimum required components. It runs everywhere thanks to multiple build formats, including an installable live CD, a VMDK with OVF support, and an Amazon EC2 AMI.
Collax V-Family is a management suite based on a 64bit Linux system and KVM to provide server virtualization. It offers solutions for single virtualization hosts, as well as high availability management on two or more nodes, allowing embedded HA storage using DRBD and iSCSI. By using live snapshots, automatic live migration, and incremental backups, the availability of virtual machines is increased tremendously in case of hardware and software maintenance or even hardware failures. Virtual network switches and the protocols GVRP, LLDP, and RSTP help to set up a virtual DMZ.
