vsound allows you to record the output of any standard OSS program that uses /dev/dsp without having to modify or recompile the program. It uses the same idea as the esddsp wrapper and preloads a library that intercepts calls to open /dev/dsp and returns a handle to a normal file. It also intercepts IOCTLs on that file handle and logs them to help convert the audio data from its raw form. It then uses sox to convert the raw data to the desired file format.
vtkContainers is a container library for VTK. It provides list, deque, and vector sequence types; set, map, and hash map associative types; and stack, queue, and priority queue adaptor types. All container implementions except hash map are wrappers around an internal C++ STL type. Similar to a vtkCollection, all containers register objects on insertion, unregister them on removal, are wrappable into other languages, and are covered by a unit testing suite. vtkContainers also provides many unique capabilities, higher performance, and support for object level locking.
vtkFLTK is a small C++ class library easing development of FLTK event-driven interfaces for use with VTK. It allows composition of complex graphical interfaces to complex visualization facilities by bridging disparities between FLTK and VTK event and windowing system handling. It eschews the use of C++ multiple inheritance as is consistent with the designs of both VTK and FLTK. A specialized VTK ObjectFactory is registered during static initialization of vtkFLTK's Fl_Gl_Window subclass, which ensures transparent instantiation of its RenderWindow and Interactor subclasses. In other words, most application code can be fully agnostic of anything other than VTK's standard RenderWindow and Interactor classes.
wApua is a WAP WML browser written in Perl with a Tk user interface. It uses libwww-perl as its backend, has history and cache, and can display most WML tags, including tables and WBMP images. It includes a WBMP to XBM (wbmp2xbm) converter for command line use. It runs under X11 on Linux, BSD, Solaris, and Mac OS X as well as on Windows (both native and under Cygwin with X11). It should also work on other operating systems which are supported by Perl 5.6 or higher and Tk 800 or higher.
wad2svg takes a level file for the computer game Doom, and draws a 2D map of the level as an SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) file. This can then be edited and/or converted to a raster image using a suitable vector graphics programs. wad2svg can also draw the node tree of a Doom level, and is designed to be extended to draw other aspects of the level.
watch_dvb is a simple script that allows DVB users to easily watch a TV channel using the low-end application dvbstream. It uses the channel lists provided with 'szap' and handles the channel tuning. As a gimmick there is an interactive mode that is used when the specified pattern matches more than one channel. Additionally you can stream the DVB data to another workstation on the network.
Waterfall is a visualization plugin for XMMS. It's yet another spectrum analyzer, but it presents the data better, which makes it more interesting to watch. Most analyzers show a changing 2D bar graph of frequency vs. intensity. This one shows a scrolling 4D plot of frequency, time, intensity, and a configurable fourth variable mapped to hue.
