kisql is an icecast streamer based on lame. The goal of the project is to create a lightweight, CPU-friendly icecast streamer to be used for icecast hosting. kisql can read playlists from a MySQL database, run as a daemon, and receive commands from a MySQL table, so it can interact with a Web site.
ReOrganize4L is a tool for rearranging the files on an MP3 stick. It is based on ReOrganize! for Windows and supports many devices. The main idea behind it is that most MP3 sticks sort the tracks by date. ReOrganize4L first copies the tracks to a temporary directory on your hard drive, then rearranges the order of the files. After this, it copies the tracks (with the new order) back to the stick.
gtk123 is a frontend for mpg123, mpg321, and other mp3 players that use the same command-line format. It should be possible to use gtk123 in situations where most other MP3 players would be ineffective due to lack of CPU power. gtk123 is being developed and tested on a 486DX4/75 laptop. On such a system, it can be somewhat unresponsive when decoding VBR, but CBR works well (at least in mono mode).
