RipIT is a command line program for ripping, encoding, and tagging MP3s that needs no user intervention. It is a wrapper for dagrab, cdparanoia, cdda2wav, LAME, Ogg Vorbis, Flac, Faac, Musepack, Wavpack, mp4als and ffmpeg. It supports the retrieval and submission of CDDB and MusicBrainz entries and cover art.

Gronk is a Web-based MP3 jukebox. It generates heavily-hyperlinked Web pages listing all of your ripped CDs, by extracting information from CDDB data. These Web pages allow easy selection of songs or albums to play, and when nothing has been explicitly selected, it selects songs randomly. Playback is done via either XMMS or mpg123.
Webplay creates, from a collection of MP3s and Ogg Vorbis files (indexed from a directory or MySQL/PostgreSQL database), a Web-based jukebox with support for multiple independent streams. If Lame/oggenc are available, it can change the bitrate or codec of a file in real time to a selectable value. Each user controls their stream via a Web interface and can skip back, forward, or to a specific track; increment or decrement the bitrate; and check the current playlist, song, or bitrate. Playlists can be looped, randomized, played locally on the webserver, edited, deleted, reused, or renamed.
Rip is a commandline-based Perl script which rips Compact Disc tracks to either Motion Picture Expert Group Layer 3 (MP3) files, Ogg Vorbis files, or FLAC files without user intervention between the steps of ripping. It supports cdparanoia and cdda2wav for ripping, BladeEnc, LAME, notLAME, and GOGO for WAV to MP3 encoding, oggenc for WAV to Ogg Vorbis encoding/tagging, FLAC for WAV to flac encoding. In addition, it supports CDDB for automatic renaming of files and MP3::Info for MP3 tagging.
mp3tools is a set of utilities (mp3id3, mp3info, mp3index, and mp3gui) for managing collections of MPEG audio files. It can get information such as bitrate and play length about a file, view and alter ID3 tags, and generate completely customized listings. All of these functions can be done either from the command line or a GUI.
