PHP Shell is a shell wrapped in a PHP script. It's a tool you can use to execute arbiritary shell-commands or browse the filesystem on your remote Web server. This replaces, to a degree, a normal telnet-connection. You can use it for administration and maintenance of your Web site using commands like ps, free, du, df, and more.
Wapsh allows users to login to a Unix workstation using a WAP-capable mobile phone. Features include shortcuts (to save phone typing), input of control and other special characters, command history, and searching and scrolling through long shell output. Wapsh automatically adapts to the main WAP browsers (UP and Nokia), and uses configuration files to further tailor the system for specific phones. A corresponding HTML (Web) interface is also included.
NISCA (Network Interface Statistics Collection Agent) is a more flexible PHP4-based MRTG replacement. It supports both SNMP and reading localhost's /proc/net/dev device file directly for statistics gathering. It uses MySQL to store collected data in, and stores statistics for bytes transferred, packets transferred, transfer errors, and dropped packets separated into a per interface incoming and outgoing set. It generates both graphs and a textual report table using the data from any timeframe contained in the database. The entire package runs using PHP4; it uses the CGI binary version of PHP for stats collection (running in the background as a "daemon") and either the CGI or Apache module versions to generate the GUI form and reports. It can also import existing MRTG logfiles.

Node Runner is a network monitor which is designed to contact network nodes in a specific order based on the hierarchy of your network. If a node does not respond, each of its parents are systematically checked until the true problem is identified. Node Runner uses a shell script for its network polling, a Web interface for node information, reports, etc., and utilizes abstraction layers for database support.
