Pdbsql provides three samba passdb backend modules: pdb_mysql, pdb_pgsql, and pdb_multi. pdb_mysql is a MySQL passdb backend. pdb_pgsql is a PostgreSQL passdb backend. pdb_multi is a backend which loads multiple passdb backends. These are provided because support for MySQL and PostGreSQL passdb backends has been removed from the Samba source tree, due to lack of an active maintainer.
tpe-lkm is a Linux kernel module implementing Trusted Path Execution, a security feature that denies users from executing programs that are not owned by root, or are writable. This closes the door on a whole category of exploits where a malicious user tries to execute his or her own code to hack the system. Since the module doesn't use any kind of ACLs, it works out of the box with no configuration. It isn't complicated to test or deploy to current production systems. The module also has a few other grsecurity-inspired features implemented as "extras".
mod_pLua is an Apache HTTP Server 2.x module for developing Web applications with Lua. With mod_pLua, you can use Lua for scripting in two distinct ways; Embedded Lua scripting, <?lua print("Hello, world!") ?>, or plain Lua scripting with a CGI-style interface. mod_pLua precompiles all scripts and caches the compiled binary code so that each new call to the same file will be lightning fast, allowing you to serve hundreds of thousands of requests per minute on any modern server. Mod_pLua supports both the traditional Lua interpreter as well as LuaJIT for both Windows and UNIX platforms. If your Web server supports it, mod_pLua also utilizes APR_DBD and mod_dbd to handle persistent database connections through the dbopen() Lua function.
LogPipe is a module that extends the default PHP error handling function. It allows you to send logs to syslog, or pipe them to an external program. It extends a standard log line to contain the IP address and host name of the server under which the current script is executing, and the client IP address. The IP address and host name can be used by an external program to split or aggregate logs based on the virtual host. This module has been designed mainly as a complement for the TCPWebLog project.
