SDLucid is a C++ wrapper library for the SDL media library. It aims to not only be a wrapper, but to also offer a cleaner interface than the original SDL, as well as increased functionality. This additional functionality includes fonts, PNG loading, graphical primitives, built-in mixing, mod playing, and MP3 decoding. SDLucid follows naming conventions, approximating those of the Standard Template Library.
Signal Applications To Audio Networks is a program aimed at different signal processing tasks. The primary type of signals are audio signals. The user describes networks of different modules using a special language, and the modules are dynamically loaded libraries. The system can be used to create music from scratch, or to process already created audio files, and depending on the complexity of the network versus the capacity of the host machine, everything can be done in "real time".
SoundTracker is a pattern-oriented music editor (similar to the DOS program 'FastTracker'). Samples are lined up on tracks and patterns which are then arranged to a song. Supported module formats are XM and MOD; the player code is the one from OpenCP. A basic sample recorder and editor is also included.
StreamBOX-LiveCD is a KNOPPIX-based boot CD which is specially designed to stream MP3s. It also includes some programs to stream in the Ogg Vorbis format, to cut audio, to view video and video streams, and to perform other similar tasks. It is intended to be used at smaller radio stations.
The PKSampler is a live DJ tool. It is different from other "live DJ tools" in that it focuses on allowing the user to mix many samples at once. The focus is on a simple touchscreen interface that allows quick access to user-supplied loops and samples. The user interface is driven by Python and Qt, and uses 3d POV-ray images for widget animations.
Traktor DJ Studio is a powerful and versatile software solution for professional DJ mixing, live remixing, and mix recording using tracks in MP3, WAV, AIFF and CDDA format. It exceeds the possibilities of traditional DJ equipment by implementing a vast range of mixing features that only software can provide. This includes graphic waveform displays, tempo recognition and automatic synchronization, up to 10 cue points and 10 tempo-precise loops per track, and a track database with an ultra-fast search function.
Umix is a program for adjusting sound card volumes and other features in sound card mixers. You can control your volumes, balances, and recording sources flexibly from the command line or with a ncurses user interface with familiar vi/emacs keybindings. Umix supports multiple mixer devices. All settings can be saved and loaded from a file.
