To obtain the lowest latency and highest responsiveness, it uses hardware video acceleration and takes advantage of multi-core CPUs.
SDLucid is a C++ wrapper library for the SDL media library. It aims to not only be a wrapper, but to also offer a cleaner interface than the original SDL, as well as increased functionality. This additional functionality includes fonts, PNG loading, graphical primitives, built-in mixing, mod playing, and MP3 decoding. SDLucid follows naming conventions, approximating those of the Standard Template Library.
Traktor DJ Studio is a powerful and versatile software solution for professional DJ mixing, live remixing, and mix recording using tracks in MP3, WAV, AIFF and CDDA format. Znap is a small network audio mixing daemon. It can load streams supported by the fmod library (Ogg MP3, WAV, etc.) and mix them together. It can be controlled via TCP or XML-RPC. It supports playlists and has an SQLite backend. Future releases will provide scheduling capabilities, making it able to act like radio automation software.

It has all of the features common to low-level audio libraries as well as lots of useful features like a sophisticated streaming engine, extendable audio reading, single and multi-threading modes, 3D audio emulation for low-end hardware, a plugin system, multiple rolloff models, sound effects, and more. All of these can be accessed via an extremely simple API using an object oriented design.
