Xcyr-fonts is a package of Cyrillic screen fonts for X, suitable for Belorussian, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Russian (new and old orthography), Serbian, Ukrainian languages. They are encoded using a new map KOI8-C that coincides with the standard KOI8-(R,U) in the letters area but adds more Cyrillic letters (all of ISO8859-5 plus Yat', Fita, Izhitsa) and some typographic symbols (mostly from CP-1251). The font set is a fully compatible superset of the standard XFree86 Russian Cyrillic fonts, with numerous changes to improve quality.
XGGI is a partly accelerated and fully multihead-capable X server which uses LibGGI to do hardware-independent graphics and input. It supports 8, 15, 16, 24, and 32 bit modes on any LibGGI target that has a pixellinear DirectBuffer, and should run in any resolution the target can support. XGGI has been successfully tested on the X, fbdev, svga, DGA, lcd823, and tile targets.
XNotesNG is the next generation of XNotesPlus, a full-featured personal information manager. It is plugin driven and includes a Todo Manager, Calendar Manager, Category Manager, and extensive notes system, including features such as text searching, printing, alarms, date and calendar inserts, and categorization by colored projects.
xping is a very simple diagnostic tool primarily for system and network administrators. It provides a graphical display of systems and whether or not they are responsive to pings. This information is updated periodically by the tool, and is useful for determining when systems have crashed or there are network faults.
Xsel is a quick hack to give access to the X selection from the command-line. You can then copy stuff between stdin/stdout and the X selection buffer. For example, 'echo puppa | xsel -c' makes "puppa" the current X selection. 'xsel -p | less' pastes the current X selection to less.
ZooLib allows one to write a single set of C++ sources which can be compiled into native executables for Mac OS, Windows, BeOS, or POSIX-compliant systems that use the X Window system (such as Linux). Zoolib provides a GUI toolkit with a uniquely flexible layout system. It also provides a single-file database format, TCP networking, and extensive debugging support. ZooLib applications are multithreaded. ZooLib requires only minimal support from the underlying OS and platform GUI layer, and thus could be ported to a completely new platform without too much difficulty. ZooLib is fully production quality on Windows and MacOS, completely implemented but untested on BeOS, and not yet complete on POSIX. Please note that the sources from the "demo" branch are also required to build ZooLib or to get started writing your own ZooLib applications.
