Kaiku (Japanese for "evolution", Finnish for "echo") is a Web-based reservation system for physical items. It allows you to check what is in the inventory and to keep track of who has borrowed which items. It was designed for use within a university to reserve and keep track of phones, tablets, and other gadgets borrowed by students.
NetConnect is a command line tool for automating the login process to routers, switches, or UNIX hosts and any intermediate devices or proxies in the path. It does this by using credentials supplied within a configuration file. It also allows users to run Perl based scripts on a single device or devices in parallel to automate tasks. Although it was originally designed around Cisco routers and switches, it can be extended to work with any CLI based device by specifying custom prompts that different devices use. It works well with Cisco routers and switches as the concepts around "enable" mode and the corresponding syntax of the prompt are contained within the source. Devices can be stored within your configuration file, so you are able to connect to devices using a portion of their name (using regular expressions) as opposed to having to remember IP addresses or full DNS names.
Perl modules are notated in many different formats: "Foo/Bar/Baz.pm", "Foo::Bar", "Foo-Bar", etc. Module-Format allows one to take a list of modules in any format (including mixed ones) and output it in a consistent format that can be input to an installation program or an information querier.
Membase is a distributed key-value database management system, optimized for storing data behind interactive Web applications. Membase automatically spreads data and I/O across servers. This "scale out" approach at the data layer permits virtually unlimited growth of transaction capacity, with linear increases in cost and constant per-operation performance. Membase is in production behind thousands of applications, from shared-server deployments at Heroku to dedicated Membase clusters with hundreds of servers at Zynga and NHN.
Math-Random-Xorshift is a Perl module that contains a straightforward implementation of the Xorshift PRNG algorithm proposed by G. Marsaglia in 2003. The algorithm is extremely fast and passes the Diehard test, though it is not reliable enough statistically. This module is useful for games and similar applications.
