Rsyncrypto allows you to encrypt a file or a directory structure such that they can later be synchronized to another machine using rsync. This means that local changes to the plain text file result in local changes to the cipher text file. rsyncrypto compresses the plain text file prior to encrypting it with gzip using the "rsyncable" patch, which is available from the rsync sources.
rsync-incr is a Linux wrapper shell (bash) script around rsync to perform automated, unattended, incremental, disk to disk backups, automatically removing old backups to make room for new ones. It produces standard mirror copies that are browsable and restorable without specific tools.
OtheRSync is a program for the automatic, efficient, and safe synchronization of two machines over a network. It's efficient (using compression and incremental changes), safe (uses ssh, is fail-safe, and makes backups of deleted files by default), uses parallel processing, and supports feedback through the commandline prompt. It is built on top of rsync. New or changed files are synchronized, and files that have been deleted on one machine are deleted on the other machine. OtheRSync can resume without becoming broken or dangerous after an interruption or an error.
FullSync is a powerful tool that helps you keep multiple copies of various data in sync. It can update your Web site using FTP and SFTP, back up your data on the local disk or refresh a working copy from a remote server on your local drive using Samba, and much more. It features multiple protocol support, flexible rules, a scheduler, and many other features that give you a solid basis for nearly all situations.
Partition Logic is a partitioning and disk management tool for PC-compatible computers. It includes its own standalone operating system and GUI, and can fit on a single bootable floppy (or CD). It creates, modifies, resizes, deletes, formats, and moves partitions, and copies hard disks. It is based on the Visopsys operating system.
AntFlow builds upon Apache Ant to provide a new approach to simplifying system automation that uses pipelines of hot folders chained together to perform a given task. Using XML, it associates an automated task such as data transfer, encryption, or XML processing with a directory on the local system. Whenever a file is copied or written into the hot folder, the associated task is executed and the file is moved to the next hot folder in the pipeline for further processing.
