Platypus Wiki is an enhanced Wiki Wiki Web with ideas taken from Semantic Web. It offers a simple user interface for creating Wiki page plus metadata according to W3C standards. It uses RDF (Resource Description Framework), RDF Schema, and OWL (Web Ontology Language) to create ontologies and manage metadata.
Larbin is a Web crawler intended to fetch a large number of Web pages to fill the database of a search engine. With a network fast enough, it should be able to fetch more than 100 millions pages on a standard PC. This set of PHP and Perl scripts, called webtools4larbin, can handle the output of Larbin.
Strigi is a desktop and indexer independent desktop search engine. Its main features include very fast crawling, a very small memory footprint, no hammering of the system, and pluggable backends (currently clucene and hyperestraier was provided). Communication between the daemon and search program is done over an abstract interface which is desktop independent. A small Perl program with an example of how to query the database is included along with an example KDE client application and a KIO interface.

You and your friends can now browse, preview, and download the files on your Mac from any Internet-enabled computer. Since you don't upload files up front, the amount of files you can present is virtually unlimited.
ConceptBase is a multi-user meta-database system based on a deductive object manager. It is mainly intended for conceptual modeling and coordination in design environments. The system implements O-Telos, a dialect of Telos that amalgamates properties of deductive and object-oriented languages.
Karra is a flexible, Web-based, multi-lingual system for creating digital libraries of images, documents, URLs, and associated metadata. It could be used to archive and organise an organisation’s photo collection, providing a historical record. It could be used in scientific study where images of particular items need to be stored with data or geographical information. Textual information can be included with each item, creating a valuable repository of data and providing a way to search for records later.
