Lobotomy involves many sub-projects oriented to experimentation about new design for human-computer interaction and, more generally, a new way for home computing. It involves a relational filesystem, a window manager, and many libraries, tools, and daemons to automatically extract and handle metadata.
Lodel is a high-quality Web publishing system (CMS). Text-processed documents (in DOC, RTF, or SXW) are imported using a server-side application, servoo. Documents are structured using the styles in a word processor (or with forms). You can easily add and modify database fields to fit your needs: title, images, abstract, etc. It automatically produces sites with a table of contents, keyword index, author index, and much more. It is compliant with Dublin Core, UTF-8, CSS, and XHTML. It is currently in French and will be shortly translated into English.
MKSearch is a metadata search engine that indexes structured metadata in Web documents instead of free text in the document body. The data acquisition system conforms to the Dublin Core metadata in HTML recommendations, and supports other application profiles, such as the UK e-Government Metadata Standard. It also indexes native RDF formats, including RSS 1.0. The system has five major components: a Web crawler, an HTML document validator and formatter, a set of custom indexers, an RDF storage and query system, and a public query interface, provided through a standard servlet container.

The eobjects.org MetaModel is a project created for maximum reuse of a SQL-compliant domain model of the database domain. The MetaModel is a model that contains classes that represent the structure of a database (schemas, tables, column, relationships) and interaction with the database (queries) in a SQL/LINQ-like way. In short, it is a model for modelling data in databases and other datastores. With MetaModel you can query different datastores like databases, CSV files, Excel spreadsheets, MS Access files, and XML files using the same approach and the same domain model.
Nabu is a simple framework that extracts chunks of various types of information from documents written in simple text files (written with reStructuredText conventions, parsed with docutils) and that stores this information (including the document) in a remote database for later retrieval. The processing and extraction of the document is handled on a server, and there is a small and simple client that is used to push the files to the server for processing and storage. The client requires only Python to work. The presentation layer is left unspecified: you can use whichever Web application framework you like.
Nuxeo Platform provides a framework and set of components to address document management and collaboration needs, including metadata/taxonomies, versioning, lifecyle management, workflow, relations, searching, reporting, transformation, auditing, and retention. Its flexible extension system, based on OSGi, allows developers to quickly configure and extend the platform by creating new components. Its default Web user interface, based on the JSF standard, uses AJAX to create a pleasant user experience. It can also be accessed by a rich client interface through the use of Web services, for instance using the Eclipse-based Nuxeo RCP rich client platform.
The OMCSNet-WordNet project aims to improve the quality of the OMCSNet dataset by using automated processes to map WordNet synonym sets to OMCSNet concepts and import additional semantic linkage data from WordNet. It is based on OMCSNet 1.2, a semantic network and inference toolkit written in Python/Java. OMCSNet currently contains over 280,000 separate pieces of common sense information extracted from the raw OMCS dataset. This project is also based on WordNet, an online lexical reference system that in recent years has become a popular tool for AI researchers.
