Mathnetics is an API for creating advanced, interactive, Web-based mathematical applications. It defines various important mathematical objects that are inter-related and on which many numerical calculations can be done. It also features rendering of 3D objects onto an SVG canvas (to do so, it includes certain utilities such as browser sniffing, DOM node selection, and DOM readiness detection), which is quite robust. A few basic 3D objects are given (Line, Sphere, Cube), but the user can define any 3D object desired as per the specification.
JAME is an application for creating fractals and other graphics artifacts. It is written in the Java language, with some native code to accelerate encoding of videos and images. It has a real-time, multi-threaded graphics engine with layers, filters, effects, a lot of formulas, and parameters. JAME supports operations such as continuous zoom of Mandelbrot and Julia sets, rotation, and color shifting. JAME has also advanced features such as networked computation and scripting. You can take photos of your fractals or record movies from your exploration paths. Photos and movies are stored in a database to be rendered in high resolution and exported to a file. JAME can be extended by plug-ins which provide fractals, formulas, filters, effects, and more.
The Python audio processing suite is a module that contains a variety of convenience functions to process audio signals. It can be used to plot spectral analyses of a song across time and to quickly ascertain encoding quality, but the instrumental goal of this suite is to robustly identify duplicated songs, regardless of which album they were released in, encoding quality, or start time.
Mathnium is a program for interactive numerical computations. With its comprehensive library of functions for a variety of problems in applied mathematics, and with its facilities for the definition and manipulation of arrays of numbers as basic data objects, Mathnium allows you to solve numerical problems rather painlessly and without a great deal of programming effort. Mathnium may also be used as a programming language to implement numerical algorithms in a concise manner which usually is very close to the mathematical description of the algorithms.
Ecere Fractals Explorer is a cross-platform explorer for the Mandelbrot and Julia set fractals. It supports smooth coloring, features a gradient editor, supports arbitrary powers, has an option to save with or without computed data, exports to a variety of image formats (with or without bilinear filtering), and comes with a few interesting presets.
Terrain Generation is a program designed to produce realistic elevation maps. Various methods are used to simulate faulting, rain, and gravity erosion. There is also a 2D cos transform that can be used. The program currently saves terrain as a Wavefront's Advanced Visualizer Object file (.obj).
Powua is a parallel super-computer consisting of many processors that work simultaneously. The Powua client lets users access this high computing power from wherever they are, directly on their computer, through a simple Internet connection. If your preferred software is supported, you can start using it immediately in Powua and speed up all those processes that would otherwise occupy your processor for a long time. Powua subdivides your operation and distributes it to many processors simultaneously.
Benojt is a fast and flexible explorer for various types of fractals. It can render escape-time fractals like Mandelbrot/Julia style fractals, Newton fractals, Lyapunov fractals, and two dimensional attractors/strange attractors. Due to its modular design, single components like iterators, renderers, and colorings can be replaced, making it easy to experiment with individual aspects of fractal creation. New iterators can be created at runtime by typing a fractal fomula which is compiled and loaded automatically.
