Erudite is an application for training and testing back propogation neural networks using the ANNeML (Artifical Neural Network Markup Language) XML format. It supports testing and training neural nets with CSV files and has support for randomized training sets, optional adapting learning rate, sigmoid or hyperbolic tangent transfer functions, optional bias and weight adjustment locking, and more.

The DocBook Authoring and Publishing Suite (DAPS) provides a tool set for easy creation and publication of DocBook sources on Linux. It lets you create HTML (including Webhelp), PDF, EPUB, man pages, and other formats with a single command. It automatically takes care of validating and filtering (profiling) your sources and automatically converts images into a format best suited for the output format. You can easily create profiled source tarballs for translation or review. DAPS supports authors by providing linkchecker, validator, spellchecker, and editor macros. It is well suited to manage large documentation projects with multiple authors using the DAPS docmanager.
UverseWiki is a modular open source PHP framework designed for text processing. Unlike most existing solutions, it is not regular expression-based but instead uses a recursive descent parser to build a document object model. After the parsing stage has been finished and the DOM is produced, the original source is discarded and all operations are performed on the document tree instead: nodes can be altered, serialized, or rendered into a particular format (such as HTML or RTF). The wiki syntax is language-neutral and the processing itself is carried out in UTF-8.
Snippetory is a general Java template engine based on passive templates. In passive templates, template code and logic are clearly separated from each other. The templates contains very simple mark up. By removing logic, templates are directly accessible, fully parametrized, and free of context, and can easily be reused. Navigation, code competition, and structuring of the code with methods and classes are supported.
The Aida project is two-fold: it defines a simple common markup language designed to describe structured text, and it implements a compiler that translates the Aida syntax into various target formats (HTML, LaTeX, Trac, Mediawiki, Text, Markdown, and others). The system is fast, flexible, and extensible. The core command, aida, is a strict parser (written using Bison and Flex), which analyzes files written in the Aida Markup Language and invokes callbacks in order to convert them to the target format. It embeds a Tcl language interpreter and the callbacks are written in Tcl. This makes it very easy to extend the library and to define new target formats. Furthermore, the Aida files are highly parameterizable via a header and the entire system is configurable at the admin and at the user level. It is also possible to evaluate Tcl code within an Aida file and thus create dynamic contents.
