swampex (or Swamp Explorer) is a cross-platform library designed to work with raster maps in Ozi Explorer format. Using this library, you'll be able to collect maps in the file system, get information about map calibration, find maps by latitude/longitude, render maps in SDL surfaces, and more.
EasyGIS is a simple way to share and publish geographic data. It presents a number of core features that allow you to share and publish geographic localized data sets on the Web. It has a simple Web user interface for integration with external data and service providers to prepare so-called GIS mashups. Built-in support for Google Maps and OpenStreetMap serves as a good basement for thematic mapping. All system services are exposed via a RESTful API. With the REST Web resources, external clients can leverage the search and map rendering functionality, embedding the resources into external applications and sites.
The main goal of the Java API for KML (JAK) is to provide an automatically generated full reference implementation of the KML object model defined by OGC’s KML standard and Google’s GX extensions. It is an object-oriented API that enables the convenient and easy use of KML in existing Java environments. KML is an XML-based language schema that describes and visualizes geographic data. The language is often used in 2D web based maps and 3D virtual globes. APIs for XML dialects are implemented using two layers. The current official XML schema of KML in conjunction with the JAXB technology is used to generate Java class representations automatically. KML’s schema is a document describing the correct syntax of KML files and can, therefore, be used for validating the corresponding KML files. The semantic application layer, which is found on top of the JAXB layer, is abstracted from the raw generated classes and defines a well-shaped API. This API provides easy out-of-the-box access to KML for the user. This project provides a Java API for KML in order to enable this.
WMS Inspector is a Firefox add-on with tools for working with Web Map Services (WMS). It can be especially useful when working with JavaScript mapping libraries like OpenLayers or MapBender or setting up WMS services with servers like MapServer, GeoServer, or deegree. Its main features include structured loading of all WMS requests in the current page and its parameters, sorted by service or type, individual WMS request (images or errors) visualization on a lateral pane, the ability to copy services, requests, or parameters to the clipboard, direct editing of request parameter values, and output of GetCapabilities requests as an HTML report or the original file.
