Sendooway is a multi-user and multi-target ESMTP proxy that acts as mail transfer agent. Instead of configuring SMTP servers and authentication data for every mail identity on every device, it allows you to configure them centrally. Sendooway automatically uses the correct smarthost, logs on with the user's account data, and sends their mail.
Exim4U is a Web-based user interface and integrated software configuration for the Exim message transfer agent (MTA). Using any modern Web browser, you can use it to manage Exim email domains, user accounts, aliases, forwarders, and much more. Exim4U is a derivative work of the Virtual Exim (Vexim) project.
DKIM-Verify is a software application that can provide DKIM verification for non-DKIM-aware MDAs. Using DKIM-Verify, which functions as a "wrapper" for the MDA, mail originating from and destined for the local domain can be verified. In addition, DKIM-Verify can integrate with mailing list software to provide verification of messages received for later distribution.
JWebEngine is an embeddable component that is far more advanced than the internal Sun HTML renderer since it flawlessly passes the Mail Accid and the Accid 1 test. It can easily be used as a JavaHelp or Mail Client renderer in your own applications. Even headless rendering is possible, for thumbnail generation for example. JWebEngine is already being used in the products i-net Crystal-Clear and i-net HelpDesk.
WAWAS is a full PHP application server. The main server core listens to any IP/port and passes data to any mounted protocol on the listener. Implemented protocols are HTTP1.1/1.0, Comet, Telnet, DNS, mail, and FTP. Each protocol runs modules that build response data based on the requests. Memory object persistence allows data and caches to be shared across protocols or time. All configuration uses XML. It can be launched as a daemon, with or without forked workers, and is nearly as fast as Apache in preliminary tests.
Masqmail is an MTA (mail transport agent) for notebooks, workstations, home servers, and generally any host with no permanent network connection. It has special support for multiple transfer routes (e.g. to different mail providers). Address rewriting can be done in several ways. It is a slim replacement for full-blown MTAs such as sendmail, exim, qmail, or postfix and for the intended uses, configuration is much simpler.
Mireka is a mail server with SMTP, Mail Submission, and POP3 services. It can also be used as an SMTP proxy. As a proxy, it can help to prevent or diagnose mail problems, like outgoing backscatter spam. It provides detailed logging, basic mail traffic statistics, tarpit to prevent email harvesting, and loop detection. It can filter email by DNSBL, SPF, mail size, local domains, and recipients list. Local recipients can be specified using regular expressions. TLS is supported for incoming connections. Aliases, forward lists, and very simple mailing lists can be configured in XML. Custom filters and other components can be written in Java, and they can be easily implemented and installed.
OpenSMTPD is an RFC compliant, secure, and simple SMTP server ported from OpenBSD to Linux. It supports the SMTP protocol, including SSL versions for added security, virtual domains, forward files, and external delivery agents like procmail, and can do most of the basic things that other MTA implementations do.
claws-mail-indicator is a simple plug-in which adds support to Claws Mail for the Ubuntu indicators. Notifications are displayed in the Messaging menu, with the option to display a notification bubble each time new messages arrive. It was developed and tested on Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty) 64-bit.
