NRL OLSR is the NRL's implementation of the OLSR ad-hoc mobile network routing protocol, using RFC 3626 packet formats. It supports IPv4 and IPv6. Support for Ethereal and NS2 exists but may not be current. NRL's implementation is derived from INRIA's OLSR software router, which is also available.
cpuid.c is a very simple C abstraction that provides an interface to common cpuid feature flags. It can be useful when implementing dynamic CPU feature dispatch that relies on optional processor feature extensions or basic processor-specific variables. This package is meant to be a very simple feature detection interface that you can easily integrate into your project. It is not meant to be complex and it is geared for projects implementing dynamic CPU feature dispatch.
Ayam is a free 3D modelling environment for the RenderMan interface. It features good RIB export, CSG (all RenderMan primitives supported), and NURBS modelling. Features instancing, arbitrary number of modeling views, object clipboard, independent property clipboard, n-level undo, console, and Tree-View with Drag-and-Drop support.
IRAF is the Image Reduction and Analysis Facility, a general purpose software system for the reduction and analysis of scientific data. IRAF includes a selection of programs for general image processing and graphics applications, plus a large number of programs for the reduction and analysis of optical astronomy data within the NOAO package. External or layered packages are also available for the analysis of HST, XRAY, and EUV data. IRAF provides a programming environment which includes the Command Language script facility, the IMFORT Fortran programming interface, and the SPP/VOS programming environment in which the portable IRAF system is written.
radlib is a C language library developed to abstract details of interprocess communications and common Linux/Unix system facilities so that application developers can concentrate on application solutions. It encourages developers to use a proven paradigm of event-driven, asynchronous design. By abstracting interprocess messaging, events, timers, and any I/O device that can be represented as a file descriptor, radlib simplifies the implementation of multi-purpose processes, as well as multi-process applications. In short, radlib is a sincere attempt to provide real-time OS capability on a non-real-time OS.
hwloc provides command line tools and a C API to obtain the hierarchical map of key computing elements, such as: NUMA memory nodes, shared caches, processor sockets, processor cores, and processor "threads". hwloc also gathers various attributes such as cache and memory information, and is portable across a variety of different operating systems and platforms. hwloc primarily aims at helping high-performance computing (HPC) applications, but is also applicable to any project seeking to exploit code and/or data locality on modern computing platforms.
POSIXplorer will help you find, navigate, and open files on Linux, Mac OS, or most POSIX systems. You just type the command and then a regex for which you'd like to search. By default, it searches filenames and excludes class and other data files. It looks recursively down from your current directory. If you'd like to search through file contents, use the '-c' flag. When using -c, after the regex, you can list a file pattern, such as * (the default) to match any file or *.java to match Java files. After searching on your query, it presents a list of results and lets you type a number to select one for opening in the editor you have defined in the EDITOR environment variable, or by default Vim. After quitting the editor, you come back to your results and can continue opening files or execute a new search. To run a new search, just type the query and the script will detect that you did not intend to enter a file number. Note that in content searches with -c, only a new content query can be entered, not a new file filter.
UnZip will list, test, or extract files from a ZIP archive, commonly found on DOS and Windows systems. A companion program, Zip, creates ZIP archives; both are part of the Info-ZIP project. Both programs are compatible with archives created by PKWARE's PKZIP or Nico Mak's WinZip, but in many cases the program options or default behaviors differ.
SPF is a new strategy for preventing junk mail. The present SMTP standard for email allows anyone to forge anyone else's email address. SPF verifies that the Sender address of an email message matches (according to some policy) the client IP address that submitted it. libspf2 is a complete and robust implementation of SPF which provides support for many MTAs. Support for new MTAs is in progress.
