NMM (Network-Integrated Multimedia Middleware) is a flow graph based multimedia framework. NMM allows a programmer to create distributed multimedia applications: local and remote multimedia devices or software components can be controlled transparently and integrated into a common multimedia processing flow graph. NMM is a set of cross-platform libraries and applications. A software development kit (SDK) is also provided.
Baudline is a time-frequency browser designed for scientific visualization of the spectral domain. Signal analysis is performed by Fourier, correlation, and raster transforms that create colorful spectrograms with vibrant detail. OpenVRML is a VRML and X3D browser plug-in and C++ toolkit for incorporating VRML/X3D support into applications. It provides VRML97 and Classic VRML X3D parsers, a runtime, and an OpenGL renderer as C++ libraries. The renderer is fully separate from the runtime library so that users can also provide their own renderer. The OpenVRML browser is provided as a D-Bus service, and is embeddable in host applications using XEmbed. The distribution provides both a stand-alone host and a host that runs as a Mozilla plug-in.

FFmpeg is a tool for converting audio, video, and subtitles. It includes libavcodec, the leading open source codec library. It also includes libavformat (implementing muxers and demuxers), libswscale (for very fast video scaling), and libavfilter (an advanced video filter system supporting arbitrary filter graphs), and libavutil (a utility library intended to supplement libc). A simple multimedia player is included too. An experimental streaming server for live broadcasts is also included.
Coin is an implementation of Open Inventor. Open Inventor is the de facto standard API for retained-mode 3D graphics programming. Open Inventor has a highly extensible design, and has been designed to allow for rapid development of highly interactive 3D graphics applications in the fields of CAD, engineering, scientific computing, simulation, VRML, and visualization.
DarkIce is a live audio streamer. It records audio from an audio interface (e.g. a sound card), encodes it, and sends it to a streaming server. DarkIce can record from OSS audio devices, ALSA audio devices, Solaris audio interfaces, and Jack sources. DarkIce can encode into MP3, MP2, Ogg Vorbis, and AAC formats, and can send the encoded stream to ShoutCast, IceCast 1.3.x and 2.x, and the Darwin Streaming Server.
Lynkeos processes astronomical webcam images. By stacking the best images, the signal to noise ratio is increased, and details lost in the noise of individual images become visible in the resulting image. This software accepts, as input, QuickTime, AVI, and MPEG sequences, or still images, in any image format supported by its active plugins (TIFF, FITS) and Cocoa. It generates a 16-bit RGB TIFF or a monochrome FITS image as output, to be further processed with some all-purpose image processing application.
