dim_STAT is a performance analysis and monitoring tool for Solaris, Linux, Mac OS X, and other UNIX systems. Its main features are a Web-based interface, data storage in a MySQL database, several data views, interactive (Java) or static (PNG) graphs, real-time monitoring, multi-host monitoring, post analyzing, statistics integration, professional reporting with automated features, and more.
SiLK (System for Internet-Level Knowledge) consists of two sets of tools: a packing system and an analysis suite. The packing system receives Netflow V5 PDUs or IPFIX and converts them into a more space efficient format, recording the packed records into service-specific binary flat files. The analysis suite consists of tools that can read these flat files and then perform various query operations, ranging from per-record filtering to statistical analysis of groups of records. The analysis tools interoperate using pipes, allowing a user to develop a relatively sophisticated query from a simple beginning.
StreamMonitor is a plugin for GlowWorm FW that organizes and displays incoming and outgoing socket data in a tcpdump-like format. The interface shows the current offset, the data in both hex and ASCII, the direction of the data (incoming or outgoing), packet size, end point IP addresses and port numbers, and more.
ConceptDraw NetDiagrammer has been developed for professional computer network diagramming, LAN scanning and visualization, preparation of network documentation, and office/building/home network planning. It is intended for network administrators, IT directors, network designers and engineers, and for everyone who finds detailed network documentation, diagramming, and schematics critical. It includes large collections of task-specific shapes of network objects, as well as templates, samples, and easy-to-use wizards. It also allows drawing all types of UML diagrams, floor plans and office layout drawings, flowcharts and dataflow diagrams, workflows, and more.
TNV (The Network Visualizer or Time-based Network Visualizer) depicts network traffic by visualizing packets and links between local and remote hosts. It is intended for network traffic analysis to facilitate learning what constitutes 'normal' activity on a network, investigating packet details and security events, or for network troubleshooting. It can open saved libpcap (from tcpdump, windump, ethereal, etc.) formatted files or capture live packets on the wire, and export data in libpcap format or save the data to a MySQL database to enable the examination of trends over time.
Path Analyzer Pro integrates advanced traceroute software (based on the open-source tool LFT) with performance measurements, DNS, whois, and specialized network resolution to help investigate network issues. It also supports geolocation, and can plot network paths on a map. People use it to research IP addresses, email addresses, and network paths, to graph protocol latency, jitter, and other factors, and to locate firewalls and other filters that may be impacting your connections.
The Eye Of Horus is a monitoring and alerting tool for computers. It's mainly useful for monitoring network services such as HTTP or SMTP servers and the internal status of Unix servers, including load, disk usage, and process counts. It is designed using independent modules with well-defined interfaces, making it easy to customize and extend.
