uma::bson is a DOM-style C++ API for reading/writing BSON data. Unlike the MongoDB C++ API, which exposes a read-only interface with a separate interface for creating a BSON representation, this API allows reading/writing on the existing data. The API is designed primarily for serialising/deserialising BSON data to/from streams (files, socket connections, etc.).
QueryFS is a FUSE-based virtual filesystem that is based on queries. There are plugins to parse various query syntaxes and each query creates a virtual directory. Currently the most elaborate query language is SQL-based; you can either provide access to data stored in an SQL database, or keep an index of files in the SQL database and generate search directories with symlinks to found files. QueryFS and its SQL2 query DSL fully support creation of refinable searches: for example, the author has an index of downloaded email files; one can see all the distinct senders registered in the DB and then go into a directory of one sender and see all accounts that ever received an email from this sender.
Unlike other Java to Objective-C solutions, Java-Objective-C Bridge doesn't require any code generation of class stubs. It allows you to use any Objective-C libraries and frameworks from Java without having to write any native code. In addition to being able to use Objective-C objects, it allows you to pass Java objects to the objective-c runtime as delegates, so that you can write an entire Cocoa application in Java. The bridge provides 3 levels of abstraction. At the lowest level, it provides wrappers around the Objective-C runtime functions. At a slightly higher level of abstraction, it provides a procedural API to send messages to the Objective-C runtime. At the highest level of abstraction, it provides a Proxy class that serves as a wrapper around any Objective-C object that allows you to work with it in Java almost the same as if you were in Objective-C.
hexter is a software synthesizer that models the sound generation of a Yamaha DX7 synthesizer. It can easily load most DX7 patch bank files, edit those patches via a built-in editor or MIDI sys-ex messages, and recreate the sound of the DX7 with greater accuracy than any previous open source emulation (that the author is aware of). It operates as a plugin for the DSSI Soft Synth Interface.
Wisecracker is a high performance distributed cryptanalysis framework that leverages GPUs and multiple CPUs. It allows security researchers to write their own cryptanalysis tools that can distribute brute-force cryptanalysis work across multiple systems with multiple multi-core processors and GPUs. Security researchers can also use the sample tools provided out-of-the-box. The differentiating aspect of Wisecracker is that it uses OpenCL and MPI together to distribute the work across multiple systems, each having multiple CPUs and/or GPUs.
RationalPlan Multi Project for Mac is an alternative to Microsoft Project with some extra-features like multiproject management. It covers WBS construction, project planning and scheduling, critical path management, overallocated resources detection, progress tracking, cost estimation, etc. Gantt chart support and various timeline reports are also provided.
OpenHIM is a health information mediator that aims to enable easier interoperability between disparate health information systems. It was developed as the Rwandan reference implementation of a health information exchange for maternal health, and is intended for use in low resource settings.
A GTK2-based scientific calculator with algebraic, RPN, and formula entry modes.
