UnCommon Web is a Web application framework. UnCommon Web features a component based UI construction toolkit, template and programmatic dynamic HTML generation engines, and linear (also known as modal or continuation) page flow control. UnCommon Web can sit behind Apache or a pure Lisp Web server.
Libdnsres provides a non-blocking, thread-safe API for resolving DNS names. It requires that your main application is built on top of libevent. The API essentially mirrors the traditional gethostbyname and getaddrinfo interfaces. All return values have been replaced by callbacks instead. The code borrows heavily from the BSD resolver library. In fact, it is an extremely ugly hack to make the BSD resolver library non-blocking and thread-safe without changing the API too much. Although it has not been tested heavily, it should compile on BSD systems and Linux. The library comes with a simple test program that can be use to verify if it works correctly.
Panwa is a framework based on the Qt toolkit for writing platform independent applications with high quality graphical user interfaces. Panwa applications are meant as a complementary approach to Web applications, and the framework makes it possible to create applications that combine the flexibility of Web applications with the usability advantages of native applications. Therefore, you can see it as an implementation of a "rich thin client".
Drome Engine is a 3D game engine written in C++ using OpenGL for graphics rendering. Some of its features include dynamic lightmaps, stenciled shadow volumes, particle effects, md2 model loading, PCX and PNG image loading, TrueType font loading, simple physics, and a Quake-style console.
The Genetic Algorithm Utility Library (GAUL) is a programming library for evolutionary algorithms. Both steady-state and generation-based evolution is supported, together with the island model. GAUL supports the Darwinian, Lamarckian, and Baldwininan evolutionary schemes. Standard mutation, crossover, and selection operators are provided, while code hooks additionally allow custom operators. It provides data structures and functions for handling and manipulation of the data required for a genetic algorithm. Additional stochastic algorithms are provided for comparison to the genetic algorithms. Much of the functionality is also available through a simple S-Lang interface.
libphidgets is a user-space access library for the Phidget devices. It provides a generic and flexible way to access and interact with the Phidgets, and comes with all the advantages of a user-space library. It is based on libhid (which is based on libusb), thus it requires no HID support in the kernel. Furthermore, it aims to support all operating system supported by libusb/libhid: Linux, BSD, OS X, and Windows.
The Platonos Projects are a group of sub projects aimed to provide Java developers with a stand-alone plugin engine as well as a pluggable Swing application framework similar to other RCP (Rich Client Platforms) available. The goal is to have an out-of-the-box runnable Swing application with the more common pieces applications contain, such as preferences, help, file I/O choosers, configuration, and more all via plugins which can be left out if not needed. Building upon the shell is very easy by simply adding plugins that provide extended behavior for existing plugins, or adding new plugins that will then be extended by other plugins.
