Network Query Tool (NQT) is a one-stop solution for getting information about a domain or IP address. Instead of manually using different Unix commands or visiting numerous Web sites to investigate a host, just load Network Query Tool and enter the hostname or IP. NQT does the rest. It supports a large number of TLDs and ccTLDs.
Memcheck provides the ability to fault on pointer overrun (read or write) or freed pointer deference (read or write), logs double free and realloc of already freed pointers and memory not freed on exit, checks for pointer underrun on free and realloc, optionally reverses the behavior of overrun and underrun, "churns" reallocations to always return a different pointer, and logs pointer overruns instead of faulting. It has a very small performance impact, with the tradeoff of a large memory footprint. It includes a validation test suite to verify correctness of the library. It is tested on a variety of architectures, including Alpha, ARM, HPPA, PPC, ix86, IA64, rs6000, S390, SPARC, and SPARC64. It is tested on a variety of platforms, including OSF, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Linux, HP/UX, Mac OSX, AIX, SCO, and Solaris.
Q-Midi is a MIDI interface module which allows you to write MIDI applications in the Q programming language. It runs on top of Grame's MidiShare package. Most basic MidiShare functionality is available, including timing functions for realtime programming and MIDI file access. A sample MIDI player application is included (which requires Tcl/Tk).
sipsak is a command line tool for performing various tests on Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) applications and devices. It can make several different tests, send the contents of a file, and interpret and react on the responses. It supports (de-) registration with given contact URIs and digest authentication.
GoFish is a simple gopher/Web server. It is designed with security and low resource usage in mind. It uses a single process that handles all the connections. This provides low-resource usage, good latency, and good scalability. It also runs in a chroot environment. GoFish runs at root privilege only to accept incoming connections, and drops to a normal user at all other times.
