MuseScore lets you notate and compose music easily with your keyboard, your mouse, or a MIDI keyboard. You can print beautifully engraved sheet music or export it as PDF or PNG. You can play your score, transpose it, and save it as audio or MIDI file. MuseScore also supports MusicXML to let you share your composition with other scorewriters. MuseScore is often advertised as a cost effective alternative for Sibelius and Finale.
Echoart responds to or drops ICMP echo request packets based on a pre-defined sequence, and could be used to return crude ASCII art in response to pings from a Cisco router. It works by intercepting ICMP echo request packets and consulting a pattern template to determine whether or not to respond to a specific echo request. It then uses libnet to inject responses back into the network as necessary.
This is the full source release of the "equalize_it" C=64 music disk, scripted in TKS and powered by EQU, SidPlay2, SDL, libpng, zlib, and OpenGL. JCGrid is a set of easy-to-use tools for real-world grid-computing. It doesn't require any file system sharing capability (such as NFS). It allows you to easily split a CPU-intensive task among several computers by using the JCGrid framework. Any file required for completing the task will be transferred by the framework. A cache is used in order to minimize file transfers. You can easily add or remove computers from the grid at runtime without losing any work. Support for POVRay is included as an example of use.
The Visual Component Framework is a cross platform C++ application framework that offers a modern, clean architecture. It is divided into three major libraries. The FoundationKit provides services such as file access, streams, threads, synchronization primitives, and advanced RTTI features. The GraphicsKit includes classes for working with both image and vector graphics, and has built in support for the Anti-Grain Graphics library. The ApplicationKit provides GUI controls, use of the Model-View-Control pattern, property and component editors, undo/redo support, drag-and-drop, clipboard services, application resources, and UI metrics and policy managers.
FinchTV is a way to easily view and edit your DNA sequencer chromatogram data. It can display an entire trace in a scalable multi-pane view, and will also display quality values (when available). You can edit your base calls and save your data to a new chromatogram file for later use, select and copy sequence for use in other applications, and print your trace out to paper or a file. You also have the ability to search your sequence data using regular expressions or simple base queries, to view raw data from .ab1 files, and to reverse complement your sequence and traces.
The Torque Network Library is a robust, secure, and easy-to-use cross-platform C++ networking API designed for high performance simulations and games. It features a UDP- based connection architecture with DoS prevention functionality, different types of data guarantee, bit stream compression, server object replication and updating, and a simple, highly space efficient RPC mechanism. It includes a deterministic application journaling replay function for eliminating hard to find networking bugs.
