IT++ is a C++ library of mathematical, signal processing, and communication classes and functions. Its main use is in simulation of communication systems or for performing research in the area of communications. The kernel of the library consists of generic vector and matrix classes and lots of functions for vectors and matrices. Such a kernel makes the IT++ library similar to MATLAB or GNU Octave.
Zoidberg (a.k.a. zoid) provides a modular Perl shell written, configured, and operated entirely in Perl. It aspires to be a fully operational login shell with all the features one normally expects. 4tH is a Forth compiler with a little difference. Instead of the standard Forth engine it features a conventional compiler. 4tH is a very small compiler that can create bytecode, C-embeddable bytecode, standalone executables, but also works fine as a scripting language. It supports about 95% of the ANS Forth CORE wordset and features conditional compilation, pipes, files, assertions, forward declarations, enumerations, structures, suspended execution, recursion, include files, etc. It comes with an RPN calculator, line editor, preprocessor, compiler, decompiler, C-source generator, a virtual machine, and a multitasking environment.
FireStorm/DAO is a Java Code Generator that can import existing database schemas (from a SQL script or from a live JDBC connection) and can then generate a complete persistence tier. It generates Java source code and configuration files that developers would otherwise have to write by hand, and that is compliant with the Data Access Object (DAO) design pattern.
