mod_backhand is a load balancing module for Apache. It provides per-request HTTP redirection within a heterogeneous Apache server cluster. Each request is processed and run through a set of "candidacy functions" to determine which server is best suited to respond. The request is then proxied to that server. Facilities are in place to allow you to write your own dynamically loadable decision making algorithms. Everything about the request and the current availability of resources can be used in the decision-making process.
mod_sphinx is an Apache module which intercepts output bound for the client, whether it be from files served by the same Web server, files sent via reverse proxying, or files delivered by transparent forward proxying (outbound proxying, as in your browser's proxy setting). It opens the text and replaces a word with another word or phrase. When in regular proxy mode, it cannot modify SSL content since Apache cannot decrypt that (it would be a protocol violation).
Rambutan is a set of end-user applications software that assists a system analyst in the gathering and categorization of facts for a requirements specification document. In its current state, the product consists of two programs that perform similar functions. A handheld application is used to gather facts in the client's site while a desktop application is used to edit and further refine the requirement statements in the analyst's office. Both applications allow the user to enter, modify, and display data that make up a requirements specification document.
XSTest is an object framework that takes unit and functional tests created in JUnit, Jython, MaxQ, and TestMaker and runs them as load tests to understand the scalability of a Web- enabled application. Unit tests test an individual module for correct functionality by making requests to the host and recording the success or failure and timing metrics of the response. XSTest takes unit tests and runs them multiple times concurrently to learn the scalability of the Web-enabled application as load increases.
mod_vhs is an Apache 2.2+ Web server module allowing mass virtual hosting without the need for file-based configuration. The virtual host paths are translated from any database supported by mod_ldap or mod_dbd at request time from MySQL, LDAP, PAM, or a system password file. PHP security can be basically auto-configured from the database using this module. Requests are cached by mod_ldap when configured.
AntFlow builds upon Apache Ant to provide a new approach to simplifying system automation that uses pipelines of hot folders chained together to perform a given task. Using XML, it associates an automated task such as data transfer, encryption, or XML processing with a directory on the local system. Whenever a file is copied or written into the hot folder, the associated task is executed and the file is moved to the next hot folder in the pipeline for further processing.
4Suite XML is a Python-based toolkit for XML application development. It features a library of integrated tools for XML processing, implementing open technologies such as DOM, SAX, XPath, XSLT, XInclude, XPointer, XLink, XUpdate, RELAX NG, and XML/SGML Catalogs. The RDF and Repository components of 4Suite are separate packages that must be installed separately, on top of 4Suite XML.
