Baudline is a time-frequency browser designed for scientific visualization of the spectral domain. Signal analysis is performed by Fourier, correlation, and raster transforms that create colorful spectrograms with vibrant detail. Conduct test and measurement experiments with the built in function generator, or play back audio files with a multitude of effects and filters. The baudline signal analyzer combines fast digital signal processing, versatile high speed displays, and continuous capture tools for hunting down and studying elusive signal characteristics.
Bayonne is the telephony server of the GNU project. It offers a script-driven threaded multi-line state event telephony service on GNU/Linux, xBSD, and Microsoft Windows for building voice response systems, and uses telephony plugins for runtime driver configuration. It also features "TGI" for making Perl applications "telephony aware". It may be used to build telephony-based system administration, home automation, automated attendant, v-commerce, and voice messaging systems.
BitchX is the premiere IRC (Internet Relay Chat) client. It originally was a modified version of the popular ircII client, and the features were eventually merged into the EPIC IRC client. The current development is aimed at merging the client back to a current branch of EPIC and bringing compatibility and stability back to the client, while bringing the features that are BitchX into a new client.
BZFlag is a 3D, multiplayer, tank battle zone, capture the flag game that pits players against each other in a networked environment. It runs on Windows 95/98/NT/2000, Linux, MacOS 10.x, Irix, Solaris, and others. An OpenGL accelerator is highly recommended, but it is playable with 3D in software.
C-Kermit is a combined serial and network communication software package offering a consistent, medium-independent, cross-platform approach to connection establishment, terminal sessions, file transfer, character-set translation, numeric and alphanumeric paging, and automation of communication tasks. Recent versions include FTP and HTTP clients as well as an SSH interface, all of which can be scripted and aware of character-sets. It supports built-in security methods, including Kerberos IV, Kerberos V, SSL/TLS, and SRP, FTP protocol features such as MLSD, and source-code parity with Kermit 95 2.1 for Windows and OS/2.
centericq is a text mode menu- and window-driven IM interface that supports the ICQ2000, Yahoo!, AIM, IRC, MSN, Gadu-Gadu, and Jabber protocols. It allows you to send, receive, and forward messages, URLs, SMSes (both through the ICQ server and email gateways supported by Mirabilis), contacts, and email express messages, and it has many other useful features. An internal RSS reader and a LiveJournal client are also provided.
DarkIce is a live audio streamer. It records audio from an audio interface (e.g. a sound card), encodes it, and sends it to a streaming server. DarkIce can record from OSS audio devices, ALSA audio devices, Solaris audio interfaces, and Jack sources. DarkIce can encode into MP3, MP2, Ogg Vorbis, and AAC formats, and can send the encoded stream to ShoutCast, IceCast 1.3.x and 2.x, and the Darwin Streaming Server.
