Vendetta Online is a multi-platform 3D space-combat MMO for Windows, Mac, Linux/32 and Linux/64. The game permits players to interact in a vast online galaxy; fighting, trading, and mining their way to success. A "twitch" type real-time combat model makes true player skill the deciding factor instead of character advancement. Massive capital-ship battles shake the foundations of the major nations at war, while others struggle to push back the encroachment of the AI "Hives". A no-strings free trial is available.
TripleA is a clone of the popular board game "Axis & Allies", which is a turn based strategy wargame. TripleA also acts as a game engine allowing creation of custom games with similar mechanics to Axis and Allies. It supports online play, network play, play-by-email, and single player vs AI or hot-seat. It comes with 11 different maps and the option to download more from online repositories. Most games take place during World War II, though there are mods to play other conflicts like the Napoleonic wars, or Lord of the Rings.
Stendhal is a multiplayer online adventure game (MMORPG) developed using the Arianne game development system. It features a rich and expanding world in which you can explore towns, buildings, plains, caves, and dungeons. You will meet NPCs and acquire tasks and quests for valuable experience and cold hard cash. Your character will develop and grow, and with each new level up become stronger and better. With the money you acquire, you can buy new items and improve your armour and weapons. You can also roam the world in search of evil monsters (and kill them).
The WorldForge Project is developing a complete, distributable framework for massively multiplayer online roleplaying games. The system will include a number of fully developed roleplaying worlds with unique maps, histories, creatures and legends. To run these worlds on the servers a balanced but highly customisable set of roleplaying rules is being developed. Provisions will be made to allow others the ability to recode the servers to use alternate rule sets. A standard protocol named Atlas is being developed to allow a common communication layer between clients, servers, and associated tools. For software packages that make up the system being developed by the WorldForge project, please see the dependencies for this record.

omega is a complex rogue-style game of dungeon exploration. Unlike other such games, there are a number of ways to "win", depending on various actions taken during play. The ways you can get your name on the hiscore board include becoming the highest ranked head of a guild, sect, college, etc., as well as gaining the most points figured from possessions and experience. The game (via the oracle) may impose some structure on your exploration, but you need not follow all of the oracle's advice. There *is* a "total winner" status, by the way.
