httpry is a specialized packet sniffer designed for displaying and logging HTTP traffic. It is not intended to perform analysis itself, but instead to capture, parse, and log the traffic for later analysis. It can be run in real-time displaying the live traffic on the wire, or as a daemon process that logs to an output file. It is written to be as lightweight and flexible as possible, so that it can be easily adaptable to different applications. It does not display the raw HTTP data transferred, but instead focuses on parsing and displaying the request/response line along with associated header fields.

SiLK (System for Internet-Level Knowledge) consists of two sets of tools: a packing system and an analysis suite. The packing system receives Netflow V5 PDUs or IPFIX and converts them into a more space efficient format, recording the packed records into service-specific binary flat files. The analysis suite consists of tools that can read these flat files and then perform various query operations, ranging from per-record filtering to statistical analysis of groups of records. The analysis tools interoperate using pipes, allowing a user to develop a relatively sophisticated query from a simple beginning.
TNV (The Network Visualizer or Time-based Network Visualizer) depicts network traffic by visualizing packets and links between local and remote hosts. It is intended for network traffic analysis to facilitate learning what constitutes 'normal' activity on a network, investigating packet details and security events, or for network troubleshooting. It can open saved libpcap (from tcpdump, windump, ethereal, etc.) formatted files or capture live packets on the wire, and export data in libpcap format or save the data to a MySQL database to enable the examination of trends over time.
MCS MyRoute helps diagnose connectivity problems with detailed network routing discovery and analysis, providing visibility to poor-performing networks and devices. It includes a Java applet that enables remote users to easily test connections from the MyRoute server. Essential diagnostic tools including traceroute, ping, reverse DNS, and whois are combined into a single graphical interface that analyzes Internet connections, reporting quick and essential data points for finding connectivity problems. An IP location database identifies the geographical location of IP addresses and Web servers, showing the path of an Internet connection on a global map.
DansGuardian is a Web content filtering proxy that uses Squid to do all the fetching. It filters using multiple methods including, but not limited to, phrase matching, file extension matching, MIME type matching, PICS filtering, and URL/domain blocking. It has the ability to switch off filtering by certain criteria including username, domain name, source IP, etc. The configurable logging produces a log in an easy to read format. It has the option to only log text-based pages, thus significantly reducing redundant information (such as every image on a page).
ICPLD (Internet Connection Performance Logging Daemon) is a connection monitor that sends ICMP requests to IP addresses of your choice and monitors if your machine has a working network connection. It logs failed attempts to reach the hosts, and will stamp a log as soon as a reply is received. It keeps track of when and for how long the connection was unavailable and records both total down time and each occasion of interrupted connection. It supports IPv6 and can execute a command whenever a connection goes up or down, which is useful for alerting users.
VncThumbnailViewer gives you the ability to connect to and watch multiple computers at the same time using the VNC protocol. It presents live thumbnail views of many computers in a single window, scaling and rescaling the views to best fit. Double-clicking on a single thumbnail allows you to enlarge it and take control of that computer's keyboard and mouse.
