Active Image Viewer is an image viewer that provides a very efficient way to display multiple images within a small area. Thumbnails are automatically generated and displayed (removing the need to create smaller versions of images). When a visitor clicks a thumbnail, the full size image is displayed within the current page. Each full size image may have a link attached to it which can be set to either open in the current browser window or a new window.
EOS Image Manager is a pure Cocoa application that enables users to quickly view, thumbnail, rename (add and remove chars, change case), and manage (move, copy, and rename) all of their images from a single, uncluttered interface. With this application users can organize thousands of downloaded images and digital photos in minutes.
JCap is a Java application for adding captions and descriptions to your digital photograph collection and includes a search dialog for finding photos later. It is completely self-contained; it doesn't require a separate database application or Web server to run. Captions, descriptions, and keywords are stored in plain text files in the same folder as the images they describe and can be read by any application that can read text files. The primary goals are: to help you find photos later, to help share photos with others, and to be able to read photo captions and descriptions thirty years from now on whatever computer you happen to have at the time.
LinPHA is an easy-to-use, multilingual, flexible photo/image archive/album/gallery written in PHP. It uses an SQL database (MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQLite) to store information about your pictures. It comes with an HTML-based installer, so you don't need experience in setting up SQL databases. Thumbnails are created as needed and stored in the SQL DB. It features complete user management, top ten statistics, hidden albums, different themes, slideshow, filemanager, uploader, watermarks, benchmark, printing, and more.
OrbySPV (Sequential Panoramic Viewer) gives you the ability to create highly interactive virtual tours, similiar to the Google Maps Street View, using your own panaromic images. The Orby experience is not like the other virtual tours that you may have seen around the Web, where you stand in one spot and look around in a static 360 degree bubble. Orby has that ability, but instead of standing in a single position, you can actually walk around in the captured environment, stop at any position, and zoom and rotate as much as you want.
There are many photo-gallery programs available. Zoph is different, as it concentrates on the management of large collection of photos instead of just showing them on the Web. Photos can appear in multiple albums and categories. Additional features include search, slideshows, lightboxes, email, access privileges, and multiple languages.
