Algoscore is a graphical environment for algorithmic composition, where music is constructed directly in an interactive graphical score. The result is output to MIDI and CSound. Graphical objects are placed in a timeline and connected together. Some objects are fully dependent on user data, while some are generative and reacts on input from other objects. It is highly customizable and extensible with the Nasal scripting language. It has a non-realtime perspective where the composer can relate freely to time and construct the composition outside of time. This makes AlgoScore more like a traditional sequencer in this regard, but a graphical algorithmic sequencer with powerful and flexible scripting capabilities.
AudioSlicer is a Cocoa GUI application that finds all silences in an audio file and allows you to split it into several smaller audio files and to name/tag them properly. While most other tools split automatically according to certain criteria, AudioSlicer shows you all silences within a certain range of duration. You can then listen and decide whether you want to split there. The splitting is done without loss; there is no decoding and re-encoding of audio data.
Baudline is a time-frequency browser designed for scientific visualization of the spectral domain. Signal analysis is performed by Fourier, correlation, and raster transforms that create colorful spectrograms with vibrant detail. Conduct test and measurement experiments with the built in function generator, or play back audio files with a multitude of effects and filters. The baudline signal analyzer combines fast digital signal processing, versatile high speed displays, and continuous capture tools for hunting down and studying elusive signal characteristics.
Boom Recorder is a software field audio-recorder. It can be used in combination with high-resolution audio hardware, intended to be used to record live stage and film set performances. It support 16, 24, and 32 bit sample formats, high sample frequencies, and 128 channel recording. It is able to decode time code signals that are fed to any audio channel, and will add this and other metadata as iXML in BWF (Broadcast Wave Format) and CAF (Core Audio Format) files.
CD Stack is an advanced CD ripping and encoding application. It features shortcuts for when you have a large number of discs to rip and allows precise control over MP3 encoding. It can optionally import songs into iTunes, complete with track information and cover art. It uses the LAME Encoder to encode MP3s. A Universal binary is available.
