ACFTools is a utility for manipulating X-Plane flight simulator aircraft and weapon models without using its Plane Maker. It can decode both Apple and Intel ACF/WPN formats into plain text files with a syntax similar to C, which can be edited and then re-converted into binary data. It is able to extract almost complete 3D models of aircraft (fuselage, floats, tanks, wings, stabs, propellers, engines) and write it in AC3D modeler format. Edited 3D parts can then be merged into plain text and consequently converted into binary ACF files.
AqBanking is a modular and generic interface to online banking tasks, financial file formats (import/export), and bank/country/currency information. AqBanking uses backend plugins to actually perform the online tasks. HBCI, OFX DirectConnect, and EBICS are currently supported. AqBanking is used by GnuCash, KMyMoney, Pecunia, AqBanking-CLI, and QBankManager.
Argyll is an ICC compatible color management system. It supports accurate ICC profile creation for scanners, CMYK printers, and film recorders, and calibration and profiling of displays. Spectral sample data is supported, allowing a selection of illuminants observer types, and paper fluorescent whitener additive compensation. Profiles can also incorporate source specific gamut mappings for perceptual and saturation intents. Gamut mapping and profile linking uses the CIECAM02 appearance model, a unique gamut mapping algorithm, and a wide selection of rendering intents. It also includes code for a fast 8-bit raster color conversion engine as well as support for fast, fully accurate 16-bit conversion. Device color gamuts can also be viewed and compared using a VRML viewer.
BALLView is an extensible viewer for bio-molecular structures. It provides all standard models and offers rich functionality for molecular modeling and simulation, including molecular mechanics methods (AMBER, CHARMM, and MMFF94 force fields), continuum electrostatics methods employing a Finite-Difference Poisson Boltzmann solver, secondary structure calculation, molecular editing and docking. Since BALLView is based on BALL (the Biochemical ALgorithms Library), it is easily extensible on the level of C++ code. In addition, it provides a Python interface with Integrated Development Environment features to allow interactive rapid prototyping.
BazAR is an augmented reality library based on efficient computer vision techniques. It contains an easy to use geometric and photometric camera calibration system. It works in real-time with one or more cameras. A simple OpenGL GLSL shader augments the video stream by inserting artificial 3D objects, shaded with the calibrated lightmap, on a real surface. BazAR is based on a very fast textured planar object detector and features point classification trees.
CLAM is a multiplatform software framework for research and application development for the Audio and Music domains. It offers a conceptual model for building systems as well as tools for the analysis, synthesis, and transformation of audio signals using high level representation (notes, spectral peaks, etc.). It also provides multiplatform system abstraction and tools for audio and MIDI file handling, device handling, GUI and XML support, and more. It has proper Linux audio architecture integration (Ladspa, Alsa, OSC, Jack, VST, etc.) and rapid graphical prototyping both for the processing core and the user interface (Qt designer integration).
CUPS is a standards-based printing system for Mac OS X and other Unix-like operating systems. It provides the System V and Berkeley command line interfaces, and uses the Internet Printing Protocol ("IPP") as the basis for managing print jobs and queues. The Line Printer Daemon (LPD) Server Message Block (SMB), and AppSocket (a.k.a. JetDirect) protocols are also supported with reduced functionality. CUPS adds network printer browsing and PostScript Printer Description ("PPD") based printing options to support real world printing.
Coin is an implementation of Open Inventor. Open Inventor is the de facto standard API for retained-mode 3D graphics programming.
