Pies is a Python 2 and Python 3 compatibility layer with the philosophy that all code should be Python 3 code. Starting from this viewpoint means that when running on Python 3, Pies adds virtually no overhead. Instead of providing a bunch of custom methods (leading to Python code which looks out of place on any version), Pies aims to backport as many of the Python 3 API calls, imports, and objects to Python 2 as possible, relying on special syntax only when absolutely necessary.
vimpc is a curses-based client for the Music Player Daemon (mpd) that draws inspiraton from vi/vim. It supports a vim-like rc file, mappable key bindings, normal/ex modes, counts, searching, a music library, directory navigation, playlist editing, and comprehensive help, is highly configurable and customizable, and more. It is written with the intent to make vi users feel at home when using mpd, but is also intuitive and very usable by non-vi users.

Once you become more proficient, you can reduce the amount of display and interpretation provided. It features Morse code tape display, dot/dash colouring, letter interpretation, and adjustable speed.

php_mt_seed finds possible seeds given the very first PHP mt_rand() output after possible seeding with mt_srand(). With advanced invocation modes, php_mt_seed is also able to match multiple, non-first, and/or inexact mt_rand() outputs to possible seed values. php_mt_seed is written in C with optional SIMD intrinsics (SSE4.1/AVX, XOP, AVX2, MIC) and OpenMP. On a modern quad-core CPU, it is able to search the full 32-bit seed space in one minute (or in just seven seconds on Xeon Phi).
