SynScope is an offline visualization and alignment tool for time-varying signals acquired from multiple sources that may differ in offset and/or sample rate. SynScope allows you to define reference points that correspond to identical events between source pairs. It then estimates the offset and resample rate to link these sources. It maps sample time from one source to the other via a link equation. Signal alignment can be inspected with synchronous visualization or resampling. With synchronous visualization, linked signals scroll together according to the link relation. With resampling, linked signals are resampled to the highest sample rate and offset-compensated.

Some of the fields provided are f-stop, shutter speed, ISO sensitivity, date and time, processing options like sharpness, saturation, and contrast, white balance, whether the flash fired and which flash mode was used, shooting, metering, and focus modes, camera sensor type, focal length and subject distance, digital zoom factor, copyright holder and photographer name, and more.
Roadnav is an in-car navigation system capable of running on a variety of operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X. It can obtain a car's present location from a GPS unit, plot street maps of the area, and provide verbal turn by turn directions to any location in the USA. It uses the free TIGER/Line files from the US Census Bureau to build the maps, along with the GNIS state and topical gazetteer data from the USGS to identify locations.
Carina is an application written in C++ for viewing various 3D graphic file formats. While focusing on the xVRML file format, it also supports the X3D and VRML97 formats. Mostly for viewing files, it also contains some debug support to help people creating xVRML content. It can save any file it can open as xVRML. xVRML is an XML-based virtual reality language. Classroom testing has shown that new users who are already familiar with HTML can become proficient in xVRML with just a few weeks of study and practice.
Mapnik is a toolkit for developing GIS applications. At the core is a C++ shared library providing algorithms/patterns for spatial data access and visualization. Essentially a collection of geographic objects (map, layer, datasource, feature, and geometry), the library doesn't rely on "windowing systems" and can be deployed in any server environment. It is intended to play fair in a multi-threaded environment and is aimed primarily, but not exclusively, at Web-based development. High-level Python bindings (boost.python) facilitate rapid application development, targeting zope3, django, etc.
Exiv2 is a C++ library and a command line utility for managing image metadata. It provides fast and easy read and write access to the Exif, IPTC, and XMP metadata of images in many formats. The Exiv2 command line utility prints Exif, IPTC, and XMP metadata including Makernote tags in various formats, adjusts Exif timestamps, renames images according to the Exif timestamp, extracts and inserts Exif, IPTC, and XMP metadata and JPEG comments, or deletes the thumbnail or a specific type of metadata from an image.
skyviewer is an OpenGL-based program to display HEALPix-based skymaps, saved in FITS format files. The loaded skymaps can be viewed either on a 3D sphere or as a Mollweide projection. In either case, realtime panning and zooming are supported, along with rotations for the 3D sphere view, assuming you have a strong enough graphics card.
