Bibfilex is software to create and manage archives of bibliographical items (books, articles, etc.) according to Biblatex structure and rules. It is far less advanced than other bibliographic managers like JabRef, and allows only a few customizations. Its strength is speed and lightness, especially when used with many items. It uses SQLite as a database. It can store the items according to each of the entry types described in the Biblatex manual (book, article, etc.), import the content of a file in Biblatex format (like a JabRef database, a Mendeley BibTex exported file, or a Google Books BibTex downloaded file), export data to a Biblatex file (like a JabRef database), locate an item just typing its author name, title, etc. filter the items by selecting a keyword in a list, filter the items according to three different conditions (or to manually modify the SQL statement of the filter to make it more suitable or complex) or according to the \cite commands contained within a Latex document, associate various attachments (files of every kind) with each item, activate autocompletion of data in each field with “Ctrl + Space”, automatically create unique BibTex keys according to a pattern defined by the user, and specify the fields (columns) shown in the grid view of the data. It is also possible to replace the \cite and \printbibliography commands in a Latex document with extended citations and bibliography, which are composed according to a user-defined pattern, to export the Latex file in other formats more easily.
epers stands for "Erlang persistence". As the name suggests, it tries to make it easy to use databases in Erlang programs, to make the language a little more agile, and (humbly) offer a nice adapter for several databases, hiding their implementation details (and the API of the library/framework/driver used to communicate with them). To achieve this, it aims to offer a somewhat consistent API to define and work with your model, while at the same not coupling your code too tightly to it.
PixSteward downloads pictures and metadata from your Flickr accounts and archives them in a relational database on your computer, allowing offline searches and image exporting. With PixSteward, you can safely back up multiple Flickr photostreams with metadata to your Mac, perform sophisticated searches (even where there's no Internet connection), rapidly browse your picture archive and export original-sized JPEGs, PNGs, and GIFs (groups and one-by-one), export sets of pictures along with their metadata for use in other apps, and edit your Flickr tags, titles, and descriptions simultaneously on Flickr and within PixSteward.
Groonga is a fast and accurate full text search engine based on an inverted index. Newly registered document instantly appears in search results, and updates are allowed without read locks. These characteristics result in superior performance for real-time applications. It is also a column-oriented database management system (DBMS). Compared with well-known row-oriented systems, such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, column-oriented systems are more suited for aggregate queries.
Awake SQL is a virtual JDBC Driver and a framework that enables remote JDBC access through HTTP. It allows Android and Java desktop app developers to use regular JDBC calls to access remote SQL databases in the cloud. It implements the main data types including blobs/clobs, and supports transactions. Security has been taken into account from the design stage: server-side configuration lets admins specify strong authentication and security rules in order to protect the databases.
email@Scanner is an application that parses email from either an email server, email files, or one of several Macintosh email clients, selecting only those email that satisfy given criteria. Data may be extracted from anywhere within the selected email and further refined via data filters and scripts and then used to update a FileMaker or ODBC database. An optional outgoing email may be sent, created with data from the email and/or the associated database record.
RC Flyers Toolkit Box is a handy toolbox for R/C pilots. It helps you manage batteries, flights, charge cycles, and check lists. It helps you keep track of which of your batteries are charged, where and when you have been flying last, how much went in your battery compared to the last cycle, what you have to pack to take with you, and which parts you have to check before flying. For rotary wing users, there is a pinion calculator that quickly gives you an idea about the RPM to be expected.
MySQLi Query is a class that executes queries from parameter lists using MySQLi. It extends the MySQLi class with functions that can compose and execute SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, REPLACE, and HANDLER queries with parameter values that define tables, fields, field values, conditions, etc. The class destructor function disconnects from the MySQL server.
Autoplot is an interactive browser for data on the Web. Give Autoplot a URL or a local file name and it creates a sensible plot of the data. Autoplot allows you to interactively browse data stored in ASCII, .cdf, netcdf, and many other formats. Autoplot was developed under the NASA Virtual Observatories for Heliophysics program in a collaborative effort among several institutions.
