Tagua is a generic board game application for KDE, including games like Chess, Shogi, Xiangqi, and variants. It is based on a powerful plugin system that allows many games to share the same graphical framework, game history handling, interoperability with AI engines, and connectivity to network servers.
SAOTrace is a suite of software designed to simulate the as-built performance of grazing-angle X-ray optics using the ray-tracing approach. It is derived from portions of the NASA OSAC (Optical Surface Analysis Code) software suite. It can model nested conical as well as flat optical designs, and includes the ability to model arbitrary support structures and baffles. It can model non-ideal multi-layer reflective coatings as well as scattering from the optical surfaces.
Lsyncd watches a local directory tree's event monitor interface (inotify). It aggregates and combines events for a few seconds and then spawns one (or more) process(es) to synchronize the changes. By default, this synchronization is done with rsync. Lsyncd is thus a lightweight live mirror solution that is comparatively easy to install. It does not require new filesystems or block devices and does not hamper local filesystem performance.
Scite-debug is an extension for the popular SciTE editor which allows several debugger backends to be used. Breakpoints can be set visually and values evaluated by tooltip, etc. Currently, C/C++ (gdb), Lua, and Python are fully supported. There is experimental support for Java and Mono.
Renoise is a sophisticated music sequencer and audio processing application. It's an all-in-one music production environment for your personal computer. Based on MOD tracker software, its primary use is the composition of music using samples, (in WAV, AIFF, FLAC, Ogg, and MP3 format), plug-ins, and MIDI/OSC sequencing of VSTi/AudioUnits soft synths.
Liquid PCB is a computer aided design application for designing printed circuit boards. Unlike other PCB CAD applications, you are not restricted to straight tracks and 45º angles. Instead, you can freely draw tracks any way you like, and the tracks themselves will move and bend as required to maintain your design rules. Vias and components are also free to move and rotate. The user interface exposes all functions through the multi-directional expanding mouse menu and the keyboard instead of through icons and menus.
