socklog cooperates with the runit package to create a small and secure replacement for syslogd. socklog supports system logging through Unix domain sockets (/dev/log) and UDP sockets (0.0.0.0:514) with the help of runit's runsvdir, runsv, and svlogd. socklog provides a different network logging concept, and also does log event notification. svlogd has built in log file rotation based on file size, so there is no need for any cron jobs to rotate the logs. socklog is small, secure, and reliable.
Regwatch is a regex-based logfile watcher. It watches a logfile, and commits actions or alerts based on lines appearing in the logfile match regular expressions. It can also use regex-based transforms to make these matched log lines a little easier to read before feeding them to the action. The alerts are the same as mon's, allowing them to be used interchangeably.
Unix Mobile Agents is a generic, flexible, easy to use mobile agent architecture implemented in a set of bash scripts. This design is made to be trivial to deploy and setup. Agents can be configured to traverse the network in sorted order, in user defined order, or as a random walk. They can also run in a repeated loop, or in a single pass through the network. Connections are made via public-key SSH authentication, and the screen utility is used to allow agents to run without requiring terminals.
The ProM Import Framework allows you to extract process enactment event logs from a set of information systems. These can be exported in the MXML format, which is the standard event log data format for Process Mining analysis techniques. Process Mining is a family of a-posteriori analysis techniques to extract abstract information from process enactment logs. More in-depth information about the area of process mining is available at processmining.org.
MonAMI aims to be a standard place for monitoring the availability and performance of services. It can talk to many different monitoring systems while remaining easy to configure. It has a plugin structure, making it easy to add new things to monitor or to integrate with new monitoring systems.
svncommit_hook.php was written to address the numerous problems with the commit_email.pl script which is bundled with subversion. Email messages sent by this script are sent as multipart messages with each diff in its own part. All of the parts are sent as nicely formatted HTML. It is possible to specify the charset of the files in the repository (the default is still UTF-8). Diffs are displayed only for the modified files. Diffs are colored. PHP files are validated with "php -l". It is possible to specify the URL of a corresponding Trac-resource, and the links to the files will be automatically included in the email.
Pantheios is a C/C++ logging API library. It offers an optimal combination of complete type-safety, very high efficiency, genericity, and extensibility. It is simple to use and extend, highly portable (platform and compiler independent), and it upholds the C tradition of only paying for what you use. Pantheios supports logging of message statements of arbitrary complexity, consisting of heterogenous types. Pantheios supports filtering of log messages based on severity level.
